I'm not a nerd, nerds are smart.
yes, this. xD

In fairness I seem like a nerd, but im very social and, well, generally what many would consider 'Popular'. Although Ive considered myself a nerd since I was about 10, Ive always been pretty much cool and rather badass - back at school I was known for smashing chairs of peoples heads for a laugh. Thats ireland for you.

Gaming does not make you a nerd. Being socially awkward, prefering a fantasy world to the real one, and being uber smart makes you a nerd. Although I like nerds, i have many nerd friends... as socially awkward as they are they are fun...sometimes.
Actually most 'intellectual know it alls' on the internet are just ignoranus' who know how to use wikipedia well.

By asking that question, you are insinuating that I am currently a nerd.

You have both insulted and defamed me, sir, and I will not stand for it. I demand satisfaction!

Pick your pistol of choice and meet me by the waterfront at 7:00 tomorrow evening. We will fight to the death.
Will an audience be allowed at this congregation?

Yep, I was a nerd since I was two, and still am. I doubt thats ever going to change.

I say, old beans, The thought of this monstrosity almost made me lose my monocle! Bloodshed is not accepted here at E. S. capist Manor, although, I heard some ruffians talking about starting wars using only fire! rather ridiculous, if I may say so myself.

If being great at most games and having a very active life (yes, a real one) means I'm a nerd then send me nerd heaven (or hell because I have been on a t-bagging spree in Halo 3 recently).

I guess you can say I always was a nerd because I liked star wars when I was like 3 but I didn't understand it though, it was just one of the few words I could say. But I wasn't a true nerd until I was 4-5ish and I started gaming.

I was born a nerd, and I'll die a nerd. Preferably with a proper Jedi funeral, and a teared up best friend mentioning that of all the friends he'd met, I was the most human.

Star Wars and Star Trek references at one funeral. Can't be beat.

I suppose Im a nerd, Ive never really had the nerd look but my ability to make people feel creeped out in social situations seems to suggest Im socialy awkward

I could play solitaire on a computer by the time I was two years old, Hillsfar by the time I was five, and the rest of the Forgotten Realms and Dragonlance Gold Box CRPGs when I was six. My dad read me The Hobbit and the Lord of the Rings books as bedtime stories, and is also directly responsible for my interest in astronomy and geology. I've been into gaming since I received my Genesis at age seven, into anime since I stumbled onto Sailor Moon's Cartoon Network run at twelve, and into manga when I randomly picked up copies of Fruits Basket and Naruto once I was out of high school. I'm currently surrounded by figurines of Ciel, Saber, Itsuki Koizumi, Haruhi Suzumiya, and Kyon, and those are just the ones on my desk.

<-- Lifelong nerd/geek.

One of my earliest memories was watching my brother play NES games as a toddler, and loving it!
I'd say Yes Yes and YES! (or maybe just "yes")

I haven't always been a nerd but I have always been a tomboy. I liked boy things. Transformers, G.I.Joe, Thundercats, Silverhawks, and Voltron....
Granted I also liked My Little Pony and She-Ra, but I didn't rediscover pink until I was past 21. I'm sercure enough in my girlieness to wear it again.
I still prefer Star Trek and Terminator to (insert number of) Dresses and The Notebook. Action > Sniffles.
I love you XD

Also most people I know do play video games, just not to a nerdy degree. Whilst I have alot of friends, etc. I still love to game and watch Sci-fi as much as I like to go out, so I dunno if that makes me a nerd or what. But if it does then, awesome, I HAVE A LABEL

I used to be all tough and whatnot. I was on the football team, but I broke my shoulder so I was sidelined with nothing to do. The video games became my mistress.
