SCUBA..... Snorkeling!
Just get some used fins, a mask, and a snorkel.

Don't go looking for the super good stuff, I spent $90 on my SCUBA mask alone, plus it was $50 for my snorkel. You can buy cheap ones for about $35 combined. Fins are a LOT of expensive (Decent ones are $175) but you don't need super good ones until you decide you want to keep it up as a hobby. Besides, the bad ones make you work really hard, and that helps you build up muscles in your legs and burn calories.

Under NO circumstances take up car rebuilding as a hobby. I got my project car for $250, but I am $2100 into repairs, and she is STILL not roadworthy. It is fun though...

Also don't get into SCUBA. I just spent $350 total on a dive trip during the weekend plus about 2K on gear. (Diving in cold water is expensive, I cannot even afford a dry suit).

Guitar, you could probably pick up a started electric guitar kit for about $100 at somewhere like musician's friend (USA only) or other places.

Plus it'll help you look cool, even if you cant play very well

If you go to a pawn shop, you can probably get that for even cheaper and save some money for a couple of lesson books.

Probably, but you'll also running the risk of getting a crappy instrument that no matter how good you are it'll be unplayable.

Besides, tuition books are useless in this day and age, with our fancy internet and what not. Just go on youtube to learn techniques, it's probably better too as you have someone actually doing it, rather than just some pics or a text description.

Just pick up the gat, turn the amp up and learn some songs you like.
