Farah in Prince of Persia, sands of time. She did nothing at all to the combat, took her an hour to load up one arrow, and another hour to shoot it.
That's not as bad as what happened to me.
At exactly 66% into Sands of Time, I found a save point, saved my game and intended to continue playing. Before I could move, it showed a picture of Farah being impaled in a spike pit.
I had only beaten PoP: TSoT once before that point, so I dismissed it as a minor pathfinding bug.
That would have been a fair assumption if Farah didn't
spawn in that spike pit every time I loaded that save. For the one second I get to control Prince before Farah dies, she's standing on an invisible floor right above the spike pit, then she gets insta-impaled by the spikes. Oh, and I didn't have a second backup save.
Yeah, I haven't played that game in a while.
Anyway, Left 4 Dead 2 gets the gold trophy for this one, where at one point all three of them ran to the exact opposite end of the map right before a Crescendo event. They also dawdle when trying to save my from the inevitable Hunter pin. At one point, all three of them were standing right in front of me while I was getting my intestines ripped out, and they stood there for about fifteen seconds to fend off a very easily managable steady stream of Infected that any decent player could have taken on with a single pistol.
Rainbow Six Vegas 2 gets an honorable mention. When they follow me (and they always are), they are right up my arse. This has been proven to be very bad when I walk into a room and four or five terrorists open fire on me from behind cover. I can't back up to get behind cover because my teammates
always block my path, and this has gotten me killed a few times, whether it was enemies shooting at me and me being unable to back out of the room, or whether a grenade that I threw hit a wall, fell short and despite the three-second delay time where I could have VERY easily backtracked and got out of the way if nobody was there, I get blown up.
