What are the worst expansion packs ever.

Dragon Age Awakening.

It cost the same as a full game and only took a couple of hours to get through.

Complete waste of time and money.

Of the ones I own: Borderlands' Mad Moxie's Underdome.

It was boring, it took far too long (3hrs each arena), every level was the same waves, in the same order, with the same enemies. What did you win if you completed all the arena's? Nothing but achievements. Beating the Short arenas (5 levels) got you an extra skill point and the weapon bank was open to you right at the beginning.

Another thing is the idea of the 'Weapon Bank'. It's pretty pointless! At what point are you not going to be carrying your best weapons with you? Even if your waiting for those weapons you might need to level up to use, you can't possibly tell me you don't have enough room to keep them with you until then. And it doesn't even transfer between characters! If your using a Hunter and find an amazing SMG, your Siren character can't go to the bank and get it later cause she has her own seperate bank! POINTLESS!

I think it,s cheating but Horse Armor

I have seen free community mods that had more effort put into them

Fallout 3's Spaceship Zeta, or whatever it was called.

Boring corridors and not a very interesting story.

I'm gonna have to agree with Mad Moxie's Underdome, it was arduous to say the least. Boring, repetitive, very little reward for a whole lot of time and effort. It had potential, but where that potential went I don't know.

Definitely Mothership Zeta from Fallout 3.
I was a high level when I started it and it made me shoot through an army of damage sponges. And that was about it. I was so bored.

And I can only assume this picture is from a community mod. It's not from the Horse Armor DLC. Which is cheating, since it's not an expansion at all.

OT: I can't actually think of any. All the expansions I've played have been generally good. Maybe not the best but nowhere near "the worst ever". Maybe the worst I've played were the Knights of the Nine for Oblivion - it was a bit "meh" and the new items were "meh" as well. Pretty but not that useful. Not exactly bad, but not breathtaking either. I'd suggest only paying for it if it comes with lots of other stuff. Like for example, the GOTY edition - if you're not buyng that, I don't see a reason to waste money on KotN.

Did you do all the side quests? It had some genuinely good ones, not to mention some good choices through in for the main story. I quite liked it.
Yep, did it all.

My main problem was the size of it compared to the price.

It cost me £30 and was no where near the worth of a full game price. I'd have been happy had it been half that cost or less.

The worst I bought is Zero Hour for C&C Generals. Loved Generals, reckon ZH had some awesome ideas, but it couldn't have been any more unbalanced. I was amazed so many players found all these annoying rushes that could finish you under 2 minutes. Even if you predicted them they still would be very difficult to survive.

Not only that, but Nuke China is bull shit, and Super Weapon USA are too hard to compete with in long games.

Back when I was a bioware drone and blindly bought everything they released I was paying 800 ms points for their 1 hour dragon age dlc. I did not want to realize I was getting ripped off, but bioware has kicked my head in so much with their crap lately I can't stand even thinking about them.

I remember spending a good 13 hours on it. I don't think I fuckarsed around too much. I also got it with the Ultimate Edition though, so it didn't bother me price wise.
Just got the Ultimate Edition for the PS3 for £20 .... that was a bargain.

I just felt a bit ... let down, with the whole awakening thing when I got it when I had my 360.

I was expecting another massive game like Origins was for the price I paid but it didn't live up to the hype i'd placed on it.

I suppose it isn't a terrible expansion but, for me at least, it was just a bit disappointing. I was expecting more than it was so it was more my own fault for wanting too much I guess.

Any "map packs"- I don't know what halo/CoD/gears and the like are trying to pull, but 15 bucks for a handful of maps is imply not good value, regardless of the maps themselves. Even free it'd be a lackluster update to any game.

Operation Crimson Hammer for Spiral Knights was QUITE boring; the enemy density was all wrong and the enemies types they added were artificially frustrating to fight.

Finally the most recent update to portal 2 was rather meh- I'm all for custom maps but the fact you have to leave the game running to download any of them breaks the whole thing...

Yeah, definitely calling bullshit on that guy who did "everything" in DA:OA in "a couple hours". There's plenty of content there. I think I finished at around 15 hours. A couple of the other DA:O expansions were way dumber, especially the one that let you play as the monsters (whose names I've already forgotten.)

I hated most of the DLC for Fallout:New Vegas. I liked all of it for Fallout 3.

Age of Conan: Rise of the Dragonslayer

Completely broken, rediculous amount of griding required for anything and load times streaching up to 10 minutes.
Fuck was that expansion broken. First time I've ranted my ass off on a games forums.
