and some other things
and some other things
Civ 4 gave the option to slow the game WAY down, but as a general matter a Civ game should be able to be completed in 4-6 hours. It's not like an RPG or something.CJackson95 said:yeah, it is my first, I have been playing it for about a week on the King difficulty, but with no success. I'm getting Civ 5 because I like the genre of the game. Will Civ 5 be longer play sessions than civrev or about the same amount of time, because it seems like I advance through the era's too fast.SimuLord said:Is CivRev your only experience with the series? Maybe I find it so simple because I'm at least a 500-hour Civ4 veteran (and thousands more hours of the series as a whole.)CJackson95 said:Its weird because when I play, the enemy always seems to get ahead in every tech, even when I am focusing on one tech! and if I do focus on one tech, the enemy always end up having a far superior army than me.SimuLord said:Best tip I have is that focusing on science, rushing to Combustion, and tanking the shit out of everyone before they can catch up is a very effective strategy. Also, build a Galleon and find the Lost City of Atlantis before someone else does---it's effectively a 7% boost in tech over the course of the game.CJackson95 said:Civilization Revolution, as I didn't get R.U.S.E when I found out I could get Civilization 5 for less in a couple of weeks.
Can never beat it on the normal difficulty though, I need tips!

I am playing as the Greeks right nowSimuLord said:Civ 4 gave the option to slow the game WAY down, but as a general matter a Civ game should be able to be completed in 4-6 hours.
