I'm not free this weekend D: The life of a midnight movie projectionist during seasonal showings does not grant such amenities.

Though I do usually round out something before I go to work. I have Metroid Prime Trilogy rented from GameFly and I'm pretty entrenched in that even if it tells me I'm only 30% done with the first game despite putting in what has felt like an eternity, but I've wanted to catch up on the series since I didn't own a GameCube. Or a PlayStation 2. Or an Xbox 1. So really I've mostly been catching up on last generation stuff, but for now it's Metroid Prime; just with those snazzy Wii controls.

I was thinking about firing up AC2 again now that I've clocked 48 hours on Mafia 2 ("but what do you mean Woodsey? Games have no replay value whatsoever unless they're raped with multiplayer modes!"). Maybe some L4D2 as well.

Still, I've got a mountain of homework from my first week at 6th form to get through, so I'd better power through that first.

In the spirit of 9/11, I'm playing Stronghold: Crusader. The game is really up to date on current events.

Splinter Cell Conviction, which is so far surprisingly good. All you have to do is consider it a wacky spin-off of the Splinter Cell series and its over-simplification annoys you less. Plus, co-op can be pretty fun as long as both players are of equal skill and you actually understand the controls - who needs a manual/tutorial anyway?

If I play anything, it's probably my usual ArmA II online Domination matches. If not that, Mount&Blade Warband or Halo with my friends

Actually, cancel that. I just got AudioSurf :D
Addictive games, for the win!

I was playing Halo Wars, desperately trying to get the General achievement before I get Reach and stop playing anything else (until I finish the campaign ofc)
but now I'm at my dads and the only game I have is Dawn of War 2 in my PC, hello last stand mode!

A run through of Digital Devil Saga where I'm not completely winging it while waiting for Shadow of the Colossus to come in the mail. Might throw some P3P in my attempt to reach the top of Tarturus.

Nothing really planned until I finish my damn homework. Although that won't take too long, I'm all ready half way through it.

Bumming around until Reach is released. At that point I'll be playing Plants vs Zombies and some 4e D&D.

Some tabletop games at my local shop, on the PC prolly Minecraft [www.minecraft.net] most of the time (It's so addictive, it's ludicrous. Been a while since I stayed up till 6am to play with blocks xD), with a pinch of StarCraft2 and 1404AD with my friends.

Probably playing halo an awful lot, and desperately trying to get an extra seed slot on Plants vs zombies. Stupid balloon zombies messing up my loadout by making me get cactuses...

Civilization Revolution, as I didn't get R.U.S.E when I found out I could get Civilization 5 for less in a couple of weeks.

Can never beat it on the normal difficulty though, I need tips!
Best tip I have is that focusing on science, rushing to Combustion, and tanking the shit out of everyone before they can catch up is a very effective strategy. Also, build a Galleon and find the Lost City of Atlantis before someone else does---it's effectively a 7% boost in tech over the course of the game.
Its weird because when I play, the enemy always seems to get ahead in every tech, even when I am focusing on one tech! and if I do focus on one tech, the enemy always end up having a far superior army than me.
Is CivRev your only experience with the series? Maybe I find it so simple because I'm at least a 500-hour Civ4 veteran (and thousands more hours of the series as a whole.)
yeah, it is my first, I have been playing it for about a week on the King difficulty, but with no success. I'm getting Civ 5 because I like the genre of the game. Will Civ 5 be longer play sessions than civrev or about the same amount of time, because it seems like I advance through the era's too fast.
Civ 4 gave the option to slow the game WAY down, but as a general matter a Civ game should be able to be completed in 4-6 hours. It's not like an RPG or something.

Hi guys my first post on here, been checking these forums for awhile now and thought i'd finally become a part of the community :)

Anyway to the point at hand.. Just completed the redone God Of War 1 on the PS3 and am now making my way through number 2. Once I complete that i've got God of War 3 to play through aswell! Should be a very violent and gory weekend ;)
