I'm your friend for life for posting up an Urban Reign video...OMG. I need to get a used PS2 slim to play that again, cuz I still have the game, just no system. Yes, I hope NamDai dust it off someday but HOWEVER...I call challenge on it being the greatest brawler of all time, because Streets Of Rage.gamernerdtg2 said:SNIP
From what i see you focus on medium/light characters. I count cerebella as a heavy but other than that it seems like more all around/rushdown fighting styles are your thing.FPLOON said:I'm... actually not sure, exactly... I usually doing think about it too much, but whenever I do play a fighting game, if there's a character I tend to be more well-verse with (kind of) than the other characters, then I tend to play them more often...
For example, since Melee, I have become one of the "better" players of Mr. Game and Watch around my neighborhood... You may think I'm just button-mashing, but that's just the facade when I bring down the key! Top it with a score of 7 or 8 for good measure before headbutting you to submission... (*maniacal laugh* Whoops! I did it again...) Except when I'm playing Brawl, then I'm one of the "better" players of R.O.B... I won't tell you how those matches go down, but I will say you just don't "fuck" with R.O.B... period...
Anyway, other characters I seem to play more than others are:
Talim; Kilik; Maxi; Xiba*; Sophitia*; Xianghua* (Soul Calibur)
Noel; Makoto; Taokaka; Bang^; Litchi*; Lambda-11*; Jin* (Blazblue: Continuum Shift Extend)
Ms. Fortune; Peacock; Valentine; Cerebella* (Skullgirls)
Yukiko; Yosuke; Teddie; Aigis* (Persona 4 Arena)
I would list characters from KoF 13, but it's been a LONG while since I've touched that game... I kinda remember which fighters I played more of from Soul Calibur, but then again, the last I played that was during this one gaming meetup where we were all playing custom MLP characters from SC4... I do remember playing as Phoenix Wright A LOT when I used to own UMvC3...
Other than that, if you can find some pattern to my choices, then more power to ya...

Well, now... I've learned something today! Then again, I never liked playing defensively (let alone take the time to actually block most incoming combos, when needed to), which is one of my major flaws whenever I'm in a standard match with someone... *shifty eyes*tonyh900 said:From what i see you focus on medium/light characters. I say cerebella is the heavy of skullgirls because in my opinion she is the slowest(and is the only one I've seen without a dash) but she can take the most punishment and once the opponent makes a mistake she gives that damage right back. I mostly use the dragon punch spinning move whenever in a tight spot because it can launch your opponent to the other side of the screen so you can escape.FPLOON said:Well, now... Actually, I find it funny when I do use Cerebella, since I tend to use her like a regular rushdown character while mistaking her Vise Verse attacks as a "zoning"/"poking" tactic... "Get away from me! TITAN KNUCKLE!! Back off! TITAN KNUCKLE!!"[footnote]Repeat tactic throughout most of said match... Sad, I know...[/footnote]
