What are your guy's thoughts on the NSFW games on Steam?

Let them be. As long as the content doesn't break the law, these should be permitted.

Oh, and about the matter of quality: Yes most of those will be cheap ecchi garbage, but if there's no taboo on sexual content maybe more western devs(and talented eastern devs) will try to make something in that vein. And maybe someone will eventually spew out a decent game where nudity or sex isn't a detractor. You can't get better if you don't try.

There's already some of those, there's just also a lot of trash, like with every other genre. It's like people are holding sex games to a higher standard than say, shooters, which makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. And let me tell you, there's a LOT more trash shooters than there's sex games. (not trash sex games, just sex games altogether)

They didn't backpeddle, they tried one way of regulating them which was too firm so they made up new policies which ended up hiding them but allowing them to be present.

That is because all tbe good games are on EGS so games like these float to the top instead of being in obscurity like how the Uncensored Switch version of Omega Labryinth was.
