"The Catcher in the Rye" by J.D. Salinger, because I've recently became interested in The Beatles and the one who killed John Lennon said that this book was his "statement", so I want to know what the hell.

I'm reading Asimov's Foundation. I know, a little late to the party, but I'm really enjoying it so far.
Haha good pick, its never too late for Asimov. I'm reading his collection of Robot Stories, so freaking amazing, a little rusty because of its age but is impressive to see the age that the writers were born and reflect how many years passed after that.

Hello Escapees, Just wondering what books you guys and girls are reading right now?

I finished off the third Horus Heresy book the other day and decided to take a break from it, so I picked up The Road and am totally loving it, depressing but awesome at the same time.
Roadside Picnic by Boris and Arkady Strugatsky.

I've only really started reading it in the last day or so, but so far I'm engrossed.
Where'd you buy it? I've been looking for it in a few bookstores and can't kind it, and I don't like buying books online because I don't know what shape they'll be in when they get to me.
Borders had it, but i got it from eBay for $5.
Grat book. first sci-fi novel i ever bought and also the inspiration for the Stalker series.
One of the best sci-fi novels I've had the pleasure to read, along with Flowers for Algernon and the man in the high castle.

1001 videogames to play before you die, my bro got it for me for Christmas and it's a good book to pick up and read for a few minutes when you feel like it, plus I learned that Oregon Trail came out before Pong.

I didn't my girlfriend got it me for Christmas. But she ordered it from our local bookstore apparently less than £10
Damn, guess I'll keep looking.
Well in theory you should be able to order the book from a Barns and Noble or something without putting down a deposit so that way you can see its condition first. I know thats how are bookstore does it.
Oh, awesome, thanks.

Yes buddy easily my favourite book of all time, you tried any kakfa or satre?
I've read a few of Kakfa's story compilations, definitely a marvelous writer. I've also been dying to read Sartre but haven't had the time lately; any specific recommendations?

Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring.

I highly recommend Pride & Prejudice & Zombies. I hear there's going to be a movie.
