I finished 1985 the other day. Now I kind of suspect why my sister thought it was annoying.

I decided to start on Trainspotting again despite being mildly annoyed by the lack of proper grammar and spelling. It's interesting if you can get past that.

Scarecrow by Matthew Reilly.

Really enjoying it, good action scenes that would put some of the best moments of CoD to shame.

Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell by Susanna Clarke. After it killed a bug for me this morning, I'm growing quite fond of it. It helps that it's quite an excellent book as well, which makes up for all the times I've dropped it on my face.

Musashi, by Eiji Yoshikawa. Epic samurai historical fiction. It's everything that Kurasawa wanted to capture, and every ideal that Louis L'amour held dear. Truly the greatest saga I've ever read. If you have the means, I highly recommend picking one up. If anybody knows where I can find any of the film versions let me know.

Just finished reading "The Legion" by Simon Scarrow and, when it arrives, I'll read "Mogworld".

Hello Escapees, Just wondering what books you guys and girls are reading right now?

I finished off the third Horus Heresy book the other day and decided to take a break from it, so I picked up The Road and am totally loving it, depressing but awesome at the same time.
Okay, I want the Horus Heresy books now.

But at the moment, I'm on and off reading a book called Beckwood Brae.

The Odyssey by Homer
aaaaand
The Child In Time by Ian McEwan.

...TCIT is such a hard read, in the sense that it has a lot of long words, confusing flashbacks...and is a real strain on emotion. Ugh><.

About to start reading Lord of the Flies, we never had to read it at school which my mum was shocked by but its meant to be good. When I'm done with that starting One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest.
