I think it was then I had to let the person I loved the most go. I learned what real pain is, but also learned that I'm one of the most unselfish persons I know. I took a long, hard look inside of myself and just... changed. Took away petty feelings of worthlessness and self-pity, and emerged a real man.
Now I can do almost anything, just because I know that whatever happens I can take it. And now I also truly care about others, since I don't need jealousy anymore.
Funny, after losing love I found that I can give it in an infinite amount...
EDIT: A lot of guy around me, IRL and here as well, feel as though they need someone else to help them change for the better. Not gonna happen. You want to be a better person, change yourself. It will be hard, and you may have to ditch some old friends that holds you back along the way.
So guys: getting a girlfriend won't help you to become a less pathetic being, but becoming a better person may help you to get a girlfriend!
