What 'Class' Do You Naturally Tend To Play In Games?

When I played MMOs, I used to have to be whatever class gave myself and the group a movement bonus because I hated how long it took to get anywhere solo or in a group and even if I sucked, people still wanted to group because of the movement bonus.

In solo RPGs I usually try and pick a class that I know the AI party members are going to screw up, which is why I went the sniper route in Mass Effect. I usually travel alone in TES and Fallout games so there I go for a more rounded character but at least someone who can hack/lockpick anything.
If morality is in the game, then I'm usually thinking "fuck it" and go towards the negative side of the moral compass. Partly just to see how the writing changes when you're not being a messiah.

In Hearthstone I'm going for more swarm type decks but in MTG I used to always play red/blue because I like to always be able to throw a wrench in other ppl's plans.

Speed is usually the name of the game for me, so I focus on agile characters that move fast with little armor and extremely quick strikes with which to overwhelm an opponent. I like where there is more finesse involved. The glass cannon approach is also one I enjoy a lot; nothing like knowing you'll die in two hits but you hit so hard no one ever gets to make that second hit. I love charging in or ambushing enemies with little regard to whether I live or die. Sniping is also fun for a change of pace. I rarely play to win (and use cheats a lot in single player as I like exploring the limits of the game), so it's more just fun to be that quick little bit of chaos on the battlefield (I sure do miss Pichu in Smash Bros).

I also always play smart: so high engineering or lock picking or whatever. If I have to rely on another character to open a door or something I feel like I'm doing it wrong. And for some reason, it's impossible for me to be anything other than stealthy in a bethesda game; between speed and invisibility I'm like a deadly breeze. Also, I'm terrible at being a mage; it's just not a class which clicks with me.

I like being in your face, I tend to go for whatever most closely resembles a steam roller. but weapon style has a lot to do with it. If I can find a way to break something i'll run it. typically melee dps/tank has that going for it. I like cold builds as well but again it depends how it runs in game. the new sith sorcerer is all lighting and tons of fun in swtor. in DCU online, the hand blast style is bad ass so I run that as well as my ice/sword fighter main. I tend to like sword and shield because I love a good hard shield bash when done right. but a lot of times sword and shield isn't as much fun because they only build shields to block and never utilize them for offense. Duel wield and bare knuckle are also two of my favorite styles. I began a play through of kotor I never finished trying to run an entirely bare fisted fighter. the idea of a kung fu jedi has always intrigued me.

I generally lean towards tanky roles. It started in WoW in the early days when comparatively few people were playing Warriors/Paladins/etc, so I rolled one up and got TONS of positive feedback from other players. Lots of people appreciate healers, damage-dealers, and such. But people LOVE a good tank. So I stuck with the role even after leaving WoW behind. City of Heroes, TF2, didn't matter. Always the tank, or healer. Whichever was in demand.
