What Class Do You Play In MMO's?

Fighter classes usually and I tend to go as DPS.I've never had a protection spec more than a few days after I changed back(I was forced by my guild to do it).

But then I made a pact to never tank ever in any MMO that I will try and play.

Well I never really like playing mages simply because Magic wasn't cool when i grew up... it was nerdy... and the only thing that brought me round from that idea was final fantasy games and their over-the-top awesome spells. However most mmos do not have that kind of magic... so it seems kinda lame to me. The exception is Vindictus which has some cool spells!

So generally, I play rogue dps classes... but i like a character who can dodge most attacks... It's my favourite thing to play... be it tank or dps.

And my favourite class of all time was the officer in SWG... because of the group support

I've only ever played Ragnarok online.

First time, I was a swordsman...and it was ok, I guess.

The second time, when I REALLY got into it with my friends, I went archer. And I loved it. long range death barrage FTW!

Really depends on the game, but I tend to lean towards stealth-based classes (thief, mostly.)

Everything, But I prefer to start with a stealth class, I like to plan and manipulate battles from the shadows :0

The only MMO I've played was WoW, and only briefly.

And I was an undead warlock. Take a wild guess why.

A support esk damage dealer

I don't go ultra nuke, but I do like to deal my damage and I like to have a toolbox of ablities to assist

Some kind of ranged damage dealer. I've learned from playing a warrior that being in melee could prove deadly, what with you being exposed to boss abilities.

Currently in WoW, I main a mage. I like being able to sit back and kill things, while also having a range of utility spells. Portals, food conjuring, damage absorbtion shields, movement slowers, etc.

Tanks and healers. People tend to like me for it, but I have gained the side effect of having a far lower opinion of DPS classes.

In WoW, the tank character is a Death Knight and the healer is a Priest.

Damage Dealer here, well i was dragoon on FFXI and i could tank as well as DD which isn't normal so i guess i'm tank/DD hybrid.

Something that wears heavy plate armour and a massive sword/shield.

whatever the glass cannon for the game is. i always enjoy ending a fight before the other can respond, and the constant threat of "if i screw up, im dead" makes the game fun.

A lot of the time this turns out to be wizards or rogues.

I tend to look for versatility in my classes, particularly when it comes to self-sufficiency. They don't even need to heal so long as they're anything but one-trick ponies.
