What do women find attractive? (Women only)

Excluding the face, the parts of a guy I find myself most attracted to tend to be:
- shoulders (especially if they're nice and broad)
- arms (if they've got some muscle)
- chest and abs (if they're on show and have some definition)
- hair (preferably thick and dark)

So I guess I'm an exclusively upper-body girl.

Now I'm off to read the men's thread to see what they've said...

Personality tends to be more my area of focus when looking at men. I like them to have an interest in gaming, books and films. A sense of humour preferably the cynical kind and be someone willing to shoot the breeze or have serious discussions with me.

I'm not too fussed about appearances as such so long as they are clean and dress well I'm not too fussed.

If we're talking about pure aesthetics of an ideal man then I have no idea I don't really focus too much on it because I think it's such a diverse thing. I like many physical attributes sometimes juxtapositional ones.

I give approximately zero fucks. The only thing I consider a turn off in terms of physical appearance is being overweight, and I'd happily look past that if they were sweet and caring. Remember in the 'Song of Ice and Fire' series how, after Sansa discovers Joffery's true colours, she finds him really disgusting even though she had previously found him attractive? My opinions of physical attractiveness are influenced in the same way. If I like someone's personality I find them physically attractive as well, but if I think someone's an asshole I only notice how ugly they are. The exact same features can be considered ugly or attractive depending on my perception of the person.

Well for me it is the eyes. I like other things like nicely shaped cheekbones or good hair but mostly because those feature draw attention to the eyes.

You just know men are gonna post in here, so that warning was a bit useless.

Anyway, if you're asking for a general answer, you won't get one because people like different things.
You might assume all girls want a big, buff manly muscle man but I certainly don't and I've come across a few women who share my opinion.

I like realistically looking men. Podge and fat if absolutely fine with me~ more to cuddle. Thin is great too~ means he can cuddle me to stay warm and doesn't mean he doesn't feel just as good to snuggle with.

What I notice first is usually what I think is their best quality. Usually it's a gorgeous smile or nice eyes. I'm a sucker for blue eyes apparently.

Of course personality. I like a guy to be kind and sweet, but not to kiss my ass. If I'm being out of line, he should have no problem with putting me back in place. If I'm being a ***** for no reason he should tell me to shut the fuck up instead of falling over backwards for me.
Happy with a good sense of humour to compliment my personality is one of the best traits too.
A guy who can't take a joke and laugh at himself has no chance with me.

Tall, like 5.10 or more. I'm 5'2 and like being towered over.
Longish hair, not metal head long but not really short either.
Stubble, or a little beard. I don't like Men with really smooth faces.
Hair on chest, again, I can't touch a really smooth Man.

Arms. Not sure why, but slightly muscular arms are just.....yum.

Also, I like men who look a bit scruffy - not like they've been living in a hedge for a week, but like they don't really care about clothes or what people think of them from their appearance. It wouldn't be a deal-breaker if a guy took time with his hair/clothing/skincare etc. but it would put me off a bit.

Apart from that, I don't want to be a party-pooper but it's all about the personality. Once I like someone for their personality I find their physical traits attractive, not the other way round.

So, most important is intelligence, sarcastic/dry and self-deprecating sense of humour, laid-back attitude and all-round nice-guyness.

My physical preferences are pretty much nonexistent since some of the wildly different fictional crushes I've had in my life have absolutely nothing in common. Hm, I like lots of different things in guys.
I like a partly strong upper body but I don't like guys who are too buff. I prefer guys with a skinny build but a bit of muscle on them.
Nice eyes and a nice jawline are good too. I prefer dark eyes. I always think lighter coloured eyes look cold (I have grey eyes myself).
Oh, and not long hair.
I like guys with shorter hair but not bald guys.
Not particularly fussy with height but they should be at least a little taller than me.

Personality and being fun to be around trumps all but that?s harder to describe and I'd mostly be saying genric shit like sense of humor so I'm not going to go on about that.
In terms of physical attraction I like guys who are fit and toned but of a small to meduim build not bulky and I don?t like body hair. I generally prefer dark hair and light eyes and I?m more into chests, shoulders and face (especially eyes) than asses. Oh and a great smile makes a huge difference.

I tend to go for the slightly scruffier types. I don't care for a primped man. My two most recent crushes have been on farmboys, so take from that what you will. I do like them to be hygienic though. xD I like men who are taller and bulkier than me too - whether that is through muscle or fat, I don't really care.

Far as the body parts I pay most attention to... That would be butts, legs and stomachs. I also like a defined jaw.

Personality-wise, I like someone confident and assertive and maybe just a little aloof - I'm not into all that cutesy crap, so I'd rather have a guy who was capable of being open with me when the situation called for it, but not one who is constantly blubbering about how much he loves me all the time. In fact, if he almost never says that, it would be great.

I mean, yeah, personality is important. Really important.
