Well, yes, that's why I'm not a fan of ED. They forget to bring the funny. FW us much better for that purpose. But the main point is that at least for some of the wank, there are links, to you know, non ED placed, that describe some of what is going on, and dismissing *those* sources based on the idiot entry you quoted is a little foolish.Haliwali said:

Anyway, this is threatening to go OT, so let's reiterate the criticism of CAD,
Herein, I will present the way every CAD plot line has ever gone, or will ever go, and this will make ever reading it unnecessary.
1) Something occurs (game release coming close, or somesuch), or a certain time of year is aproaching.
2) Ethan will think up some crazy ass plan that your average 8 year old could tell you wouldn't work.
3) Lylia & Lucas will try to stop plan, talk sense into Ethan etc.
4) They will fail spectacularily and Ethan will double down on his plan, usually adding more insane elements.
5) Everyone rolls their eyes and gives up on Ethan, or has fun at his expense.
6) Plan fails gloriously, with allegedly hilarious results!
7) Conclusion, clarification that Ethan ahsn't really learned anything, patient acceptance by Lucas and Lylia.
Throw in a few odd ball gag strips about Chef Brian, Zeke, the "players" and similar strips, and a last dash Lucas' occasional forays into not quite Ethan level stupidity, and its a wrap.
There. That sums up every CAD plot ever. It was funny once, or even a few times. It stopped being funny, because the only way to tell the same basic joke over and over and have ti be funny is to go Meta, like Dinosaur comics, or the "parody" Buckley strip, or XKCD, etc.

Ctrl-Alt-Del will always be the K-mart Cola to Penny-Arcade's Crystal Pepsi (The best pepsi ever). Having the main character being an insufferable, unlikable idiot is not interesting...it just makes him an insufferable, unlikable idiot *coughFrankMiller'sBatmancough*. The move away from gag-a-day style to a continuous story lines made the comic even more unbearable, and I have long since stopped reading it...clicking refresh on a blank page has more comedic potential.
