Stuck in a room with a shadowy figure. It moves slowly towards you without stop but can easily be avoided, as long as you don't stop moving.

Imagine when you start getting tired.

I do not believe in heaven nor hell.

Hell and more precisely the Devil, make no fucking sense whatsoever! He is evil because he punishes evil doers for all eternity? Wouldn't it make more sense if hell was actually the paradise for the bad people? Then more people would want to go there and devil would be the winner, possibly looking at god with a trollface expression going: U MAD?

My personal hell is knowing I will rot, leaving no trace behind me, but the consequences of my actions. Memories, personality, ideals, all gone. And this I have to LIVE with, thus making death my liberation from this hell.

Imagine you're standing in a field that you cannot feel, in a body you cannot sense, cannot feel, cannot smell, cannot taste or hear or see. Now imagine this field is grey, no trees whatsoever. Just an empty grey plane that stretches forever. Now imagine a dense fog, also grey, that blankets this entire world. You cannot feel it, cannot feel yourself breathing it, cannot touch it. Finally, imagine the slightest hint at something drifting fluidly through this fog, but always seen just barely from the corner of your eye. You turn your head, but this presence is still hovering at just the corner. Now imagine more of them, around you on all sides, above and below as well. These specters make no sounds, do not disturb the fog in any way. But there are sounds that play within your mind. Sounds of the past, of every wrong that you have committed, endlessly playing over and over. Sometimes you notice one of the specters has a recognizable face, a face of a victim, or a loved one lost to tragedy. But you cannot call out to them. You are forever haunted by your memories of the past. You are forever lost in the endless grey of the present. You know there is no hope for the future.

You are in hell.

A church full of every religion hassling me to convert to their cause.

That, my friends, is true Hell.

Seeing how I do not agree with Christianity and what it stands for (or any other religion for that matter), I would expect hell to be a pretty awesome place if it existed. Heaven is meant for those faithful servants who want sing all day Christian songs and be abstinent. So I expect hell to be one big party forever!

I'd have to say it would be something like this:

I'm thinking lots of fire, lava, evil creatures, torture racks and constant screaming. Oh and promises of cake but there never is any.

A huge empty void with nothing and no-one but yourself in it, for all eternity.

Certainly not lakes of fire, demons with pitchforks, and endless bureaucracy. The Dantesque portrayal of hell I find almost comical.

The question always reminds me of a quote from Dr. Faustus:
FAUSTUS Where are you damn'd?
MEPHISTOPHILIS In hell.
FAUST. How comes it then that thou art out of hell?
MEPH. Why this is hell, nor am I out of it.
Think'st thou that I who saw the face of God,
And tasted the eternal joys of Heaven,
Am not tormented with ten thousand hells,
In being depriv'd of everlasting bliss?
Hell, I imagine, would be remembering all the things you've lost, the mistakes you've made and the opportunities you've missed, every detail of it, forever.

Personally I imagine it as a Zdzislaw Beksinski painting. [http://www.beksinski.pl/]
Although this would be infinitely cooler.
