I would make it illegal for any news station to have any ties to the government, and only be able to show footage of political issues, not discuss them, nor give any background information on said footage. They would also be forced to only report news, not discuss it, nor give any extraneous information on it, and leaving out details important to the full perspective of the story leads to that station being shut down for increasing periods with each infraction. It would force people to decide for themselves what the real answer is and determine what really happened for themselves, instead of being cattle and leading to mass misinformation and debates because some people got information about a particular thing from two different sources.

Insert obligatory free speech rant here, but even more difficult: Quis custodiet ipsos custodes? Who enforces the laws forcing news agencies to report all relevant information about the state in a comprehensive, even-handed manner? The same folks who enforce all laws. Who watches the watchmen indeed.

Mine would be simple. If you sell a product with proposed health benefits, it must stand up to scientific scrutiny, you must obey your nation's health regulatory agencies (in the US, the FDA), you must assume full liability and have conducted proper trials, and you must clearly indicate what your product is for, what the adverse effects are, what you claim it does and what mechanisms it actually follows, what concentration of the product is available, and where and when the product was manufactured. No empty claims like, "Boosts immunity!" which is technically true of a glass of water.

Personally, I think that adultery should be a crime. Marriage involves a sacred oath and bond, and breaking it is a foul thing to do. If you're not satisfied with your marriage then seek a divorce, don't sully it with licentious stupidity.

Anyway, I can?t really think of anything that isn?t already illegal, and I can think of more things that I want legalized rather than criminalized. DUI already is a crime, but I feel it should carry sentencing more along the lines of Attempted Murder. If you think your good time is worth potentially costing someone their lives because you can't thing straight, you should be locked up.

there are plenty of other things destroying the public education system (politicians, administration, parents), the teacher's unions is barely a blip on the radar. I am not even a fan of unions in general, but the teacher's union is one that i will at least lend an ear to (especially as of late)

Crime, and prison, is a racket. It's not for punishment or justice, it's sole purpose is monetizing unsavory acts and reaping the rewards from the corrupt power. Like people have said already, making something illegal doesn't make something go away. People by their nature will want to stop someone from doing an "unlawful" act. Also, music piracy should be better enforced. I'm not saying we should fine individuals thousands of dollars or "censor the internet," but if a website is stealing your shit, there should be some recourse. (And there might be, I don't really know.) I just hate that no one else on the planet pays for music anymore. That's stupid and should be stopped.

People don't pay for music because music is ridiculously overpriced. I've never bought a CD for retail price and I never plan to. It's outrageous.

The point is that the government should stay out of you bedroom. The act of sleeping with someone else does not endanger or destroy you freedoms, which is what the law is suppose to prevent in the first place.

Granted, adultery usually leads to divorce and a splitting of resources but it is not written anywhere that that course has to be taken. I know some people who are married but allow each other to sleep with other occasionally. Under a new law against it, they could not.

It's easy to produce alcohol. Almost trivially so.
Outlawing it would only serve to make things worse - as evidenced by abysmal failure that was prohibition in the US. Thus option B seems far more likely than option A.

I concur with the idea of legalisation of weed per se, however.
