just about everything. This generation seems to over exaggerate the simple and blow things out of proportion. It's a lack of common sense and logical reasoning.

So to give an answer I would have to say the World fears the World.

I don't know if anyones said it but the whole 2012 world ending thing. Seems like something alot of people would fear, especially more religious folks.
I think it's just a load of crock, but I guess we'll see in alittle more than a year.

Didn't read this whole thread. But I would probably say fear of isolation. We're all so fucking... connected these days. Like being in a small cyber can of sardines. I bet people would be scared if suddenly they couldn't always be in contact with people they know. On the same note, I would say another fear is that of actually getting to know the people you think you know. Seeing how they react in important situations. Also, our generation fears getting old.

...On a more physical, primitive fear, I would say probably powerlessly watching your loved ones tortured or killed. But I think that's a fear that every generation has had. The only difference between us and other generations has really been our technology, so the above paragaph is really the only feasible answer to the question, I guess.

Our generation?

The futility of life and the vast infinite emptiness of space that reduces us to pathetic atoms, drifting aimlessly in a cold, hostile environment.

Of course, that's also what every generation fears.

Our generation fears individualism more than anything. If someone is different, they are constantly ridiculed until they conform to the accepted ways of society.
I'd say the opposite of this. Young people fear obscurity. They are afraid they won't be noticed and perceived as important. I think the popularity of Facebook reflects the need to be seen and heard.

Ridicule of individuals is an effective way to reinforce community. It's a great way to feel connected to a group of people.

Justin Bieber.

That or the fact that games may become neutered, 'causing people to quit and game companies to collapse thanks to morons and neglectful parent's, leading to numerous jobs vanishing as games, one of things keeping back the downcline of the economy vanishes, leading us further and further into a pit hole of bankruptcy, as everything collapses in on itself.

I'd say people disagreeing with their opinions, if some threads I've read are any indicator.
It does seem that the semantics of a "conversation" have been long lost, yes.
