What does the escapist drink? (alcohol)

For me, I tend not to drink a lot of beer. My problem is that I hate lagers, I need something dark and a little thick, with a nice head on it (Cookie to the first person to make a penis joke). I like a lot of Belgian ales and when I'm in a run of the mill bar, Guinness is my go-to if they don't have anything better. However ales can be quite expensive compared to lagers and so I just don't drink a whole lot of beer.

Now, distilled Spirits, I gravitate toward single malt scotches and bourbon. Neat, with a few drops of water to open up the flavor. Now all I need is a smoking jacket, a pipe, and a easy chair. Ah, simple pleasures.

I like a beer now and then, as well as wine. And I've even been known to sip on scotch on occasion.

Tonight, a young Macallan cask strength with water. Not bad, fruity with herbal overtones. Possesses a peatiness uncommon in Speysides, but that may be the youth. This may not become a regular of mine, but it has made me eager to try some of Macallan's older cask strengths.

I barely drink at all, the alcohol burns my throat alot when I drink it even with something else to help take off the burn. When I do drink it's vodka and cranberry juice, heavy on the craberry to help with the burning effect. D:

Depends on the availability wherever I'm at. White Russians are my primary drink of choice. Following that, Guinness if I'm drinking beer. Jameson if whiskey.

I prefer mixing my own drinks though, they usually involve 4-5 types of spirits + some beer + either an energy drink or wine, which ever is available. (possibly with soft drink or juice if I'm feeling weak)

I'm really not fussy when it comes to alcohol as I usually don't drink more than once every 2-3 months.

My general drink of choice is scotch, both neat and mixed. As for non-spirits, my choice is Guiness.

Gin is also good, I forgot gin. It's not my go-to liquor but it's nice to have.

My own drink, its not alcohol in it as well, I call it Shaun's concussion.....its juice syrup (dont know what other countrys but here in Australia we say cordial) add about 20% of you cup (A big one would help) and fill it up with soda, water or half and half.....its awesome, keeps me up every night......and gimmie the credit if you tell people about it....

Seriously, I can't stand the taste of alcohol.

It's not fermented, it's pasteurised.

I almost never drink these days, I just cant drink all night and feel no effects the day after. I actually experience hangovers now, which I never did when I was younger (18ish). But when I do drink beer, I choose Dos Equis (not really). When I do actually drink, it's never cheap stuff, and my favorites are Grey Goose vodka, and this bitchin sake that comes in these squat rounded black frosted glass bottles with gold writing. I love that shit, but I also get really ignorant and start speaking pretend japanese when I drink it


Also, I laugh hilariously at all the underagers and their aversion to alchohol. ugh, it tastes bad, blah blah blah. Duh, that's why the majority of teenagers don't drink and eat shitty food, their palettes haven't developed yet.
