I guess a phrase would either be "It looked cooler in my head..." or "I'll get to that later"

I only have one main base, and it's small with two chests, a furnace and a workbench. The only really unique thing I do is my obsession with giving any room that I can a glass roof. I just like the natural light I guess.
I guess it says that i'm unadventureous and I like to keep things close at hand.

Also, since we're talking about Minecraft, can someone please link me to that program that works out a map of what you've explored in the world? I've been searching the forums for it for a few days and I cant find it.

I build a giant quarry next to my spawn point and a tiny little base that can ONLY hold a bed. Funnily enough, that makes me immune from all monsters. I build no underground labyrinths, only quarries, in order to maintain consistency, not get lost, no surprise mobs, and decent efficiency.

I'm a paranoid neat freak.

I was building a giant floating castle using water as an elevator to get up there. Tis far from done, but I have the idea in my head on what it will be when finished.

huge wooden for on a mountain, with a powered minecart rail thing going off a massive jump into the sea (near my mine) and another minecart track going to and from my house and mine.
I'm awesome?

Mine says 'poor cover-up' written all over it. My first base has a big 'HOME' written in the sky above it but thats not my base anymore...I have an underwater base nearby thats still incredibly easy to find lol

Judging by my Minecraft bases, I and really lucky to have found enough diamon to make one of my 4 bases out of diamond blocks, I REALLY like burning castles, I'm a huge trekkie, and simplistic at times. And I have a tunnel connecting two of them in case I need to make a quick escape.

My houses are generally very simple, built into something in the environment, lots of water, glass, just enough torches to protect myself. And then there's my dungeons. These things sprawl continents. It's impossible to find any of the entrances without breaking something or knowing where it is.

So, houses: "Peace, quiet and relative darkness"
Dungeons: "Let's get f**king wild in here!"

right now I'm going through a stage of building everything out of dirt. Why? Because I have over 1200 blocks of dirt and I'm trying to get rid of them. I guess that says that I'm resourceful and and I use them whenever I can? Or is it that I just want to get rid of all my dirt? Either way works

I fuss over repeating patterns when building the fortresses, making sure to be consistent with the placing of windows etc.
I think that's my OCD in engineering- cos I know that imperfections lead to weakness, see crystalline structures or fractals as an example.
I love an underlying order and sense, the ugliest, most chaotic of designs are rooted in harmony and structure.

My name, written across the landscape in ever-burning torches. What this says about me? Well, firstly, it says "JOE". It also says that I'm full of myself and am simultaneously uncreative (perhaps my self-love is unjustified)! Also, i like coffee; this seems relavant.

I build up a main castle with an extensive keep and walls, enough room inside so that i can have multiple storage rooms, a master bedroom, guest rooms (if i decide to convert it to a server) crafting and smelting rooms, lounges, an observation tower to the max build height and an extensive moat, shallow if it's a lava moat, deep and wide if its a water one (for making drowning machines for mobs/players).

I make sure I have plenty of room within the outer wall for a vertical 9x9 mineshaft with floors put in every 6 blocks down.

From the observation tower I build a lit skyroad branching out in 4 directions to distant bases usually of a similar style.

In my main server I have elemental themed towers leading out from my main castle rather than more castles.

Massive 3-tier castle in the middle of the ocean with ramparts and designed specifically to be near impossible to invade from the outside?

I think that says I have too much time on my hands.

It's a largish stone house with windows and a bridge out back. I guess this says I'm not a very imaginative architect?

My base is a massive stone doom fortress, all made out of monochromatic grey cobblestone, with lava flows through the throne room and portal room. I guess I'm a stereotypical evil villain.

Nothing, seeing as I don't play minecraft. My friend on the other hand has been making a giant tower for ages now, and I must admit it's pretty impressive. I believe he was going for a "Barad Dur" thing. Needless to say, jokes about him compensating for something were everywhere that day.

Well, my castle goes above the clouds and sits upon a lava pillar about 30 blocks high. From this castle, I have railroads going in all four directions for about 500 blocks each. The western rail is 1568 rails long and reaches all the way to the tundra. I guess that you could say that this base says that I love to be able to travel freely while maintaining a strong inner core.

I built as many monolithic structures all around the landscape as I can, travelling from one to the other via a protected railway network, only venturing outside to construct another fortress.

I'm not such a huge fan of risk taking...
