Wow, I started this thread LAST NIGHT, at midnight, I'm amazed it's lasted this long...

Veleste is apparently a city in Macedonia and I did study classical warfare in school for two years and wrote my thesis on Alexander the Great :p

However the name was chosen to allow my friends to easily identify me online as it's my first name's initial and my last name minus the last letter. Originally it was V'leste but I dropped the apostrophe as some forums don't allow special characters and added an e so it would roll off the tongue.

If anything it says I'm unoriginal ^^

I can't help but laugh at any sort of irony. I love irony and satire so much I want to become a Trickster figure in modern mythology, but I am only just begining on my long journey to (in)famousness.

It's a Thread involving something to do with a Users Account, and one of the more (Usually) Vain parts of it, which is the name to be associated with the online Persona one chooses. Only natural plenty of people would want to state the thought, reasoning, or even the possible hidden meaning behind it (possibly to flaunt what they believe to be a Cleverly chosen name).

Plus it's accessible to every User, requires little thought (They already know what it means seeing as they thought of it when first choosing it, or at least already know the History behind it) and requires little reading in the OP.

It is by far one of the more inviting and accessible Thread types out there, outranking Avatar Threads due to the fact that not everybody has an Avatar. You have nothing to be surprised about.

Still, how long do threads usually last in Off Topic?

Considering that Off-Topic is one of the more Popular Forum Sections, and this particular Thread allows both thought out and simple replies, thus rapidly Bumping it for those who didn't see it to say "What the Hell" and Post in it, Bumping it again, not to mention that (As I said) it applies to some Users' Vain side, along with other unmentioned factors...

So yeah, quite some time.

True, and this is a good way to learn about other users
