CounterStrike 1.6 still has me going back, and I was playing beta.
No game has stolen as much time from me as WoW.
Not game of the decade but well worth a mention; Black and White.
SSBM, for that truely ninja shit.

guitar hero series, definitely, even breaches blizzard on the point as game of the decade, since they actually more or less doubled the worldwide number of people ever considering to buy themselves a console.

Anyway, the 1st Neverwinter Nights easily. It's the game that made me become a Bioware fanboy. I was amazed by it when it came out (early 2002). It also is one of the big games that inspired the surge of 'western style RPGs' I played through is and it's expansions probably 10 times.
I would say Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn but I don't think I enjoyed that as much as I did the first NwN

Counter-Strike, probably closely followed by Diablo 2. There's a lot I feel I should give mention to, but I've cheated enough already by giving 2 answers.
Metal Gear Solid: Snake eater. I must have finished that game like 12 times in the last 4 years.
