I guess games like Warcraft/Runescape opened the gate for a lot of popular online games! Although, i wouldnt say they were my game of the decade, but id say they were REVOLUTIONARY!

Game(s) of the decade - easily The Orange Box!

Definitely a tie between Deus Ex, Morrowind, MGS3: Snake Eater, Majora's Mask and Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines for me, all exceptional games I play over and over without tiring of. GTA's 4 and San Andreas also get honorable mentions...I can't choose just one =).

The Elder scrolls Oblivion and Morrowind are standouts for open world RPG and in first person.
PC for the only for the mods, Consoles for real game play without the keyboard , just me and me sword.

Command conquer Generals and the zero hour expansion its the only thing that EA got right and the only real PC game worth having .

other mentionables

the first 3 medal of honor was great then went down hill after that

Socom 1 and 2 were excellent with a headset.

LOFTR , Witcher , gothic and assasins creed are great shouldve been in 1st person so im left dissaponted

Overated heap of shits -
Metal gear solid, GTA , final fantasy and dragon age - these are in 3rd person where the player is told what to do and when by the developer .
If i payed for it ill fight and venture wherever i like and the you can shove your story line up ya coita where it belongs.

Thats why Bethesda rules and ""Brink"" will blow em away as fallout 3 did.

I won't make a big list, because it says "game"...so I put three (actually four). If I had to choose just one, then it would be Morrowind.

Mass Effect (both)
Knights of the Old Republic
The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind

Frequency. I'm sure most people haven't played it, but I was so very, very addicted to it. Plus it essentially led to the creation of Guitar Hero eventually, so it was an important game too.

If I had to pick something less niche, I'd say... Metroid Prime. Classy game, almost flawless for what it is.

Adventure, for the Atari 2600.

What? You asked "what was your game of the decade?" You didn't say WHICH decade, did you? I gave you my game of the 70's.

Wind Waker. There's been plenty of games this decade that I've loved, or spent more time playing, but none filled me with that sense of 'whoa' quite like Wind Waker.

It has to be WoW for me. Not only for the amount of time invested and satisfaction gained but also the fact that it has changed the way I look at games.

Ocarina of Time. I know it's from 1998 but a) it's a game about time travel and therefore, in combination with its pure awesomeness, transcends such petty boundaries as years and decades and b) it was re-released on Wii Network so I'm counting it.

FTW! Hehe I'm playing that right nowish.

I've answered it as 'favourite game' since it came out... So often, I now use it as my standard answer to any question about having a favourite.

Favourite game? Deus Ex
Favourite FPS? Deus Ex
Favourite RPG? Deus Ex
Favourite Franchise? Deus Ex
Favourite Colour? Deus Ex
Favourite Yeast Extract Spread? Deus Ex
Favourite Sexual Position? Deus Ex
Favourite War? Deus Ex
and so on.

Well, considering I was 6 when 2000 rolled around, and I can't remember most of the games I played, here are my choices:
-The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
I've had a long and rocky history with Oblivion. I first got it in... about 2007 I think. I ran it on a crappy PC with only 256MB of RAM, it was unplayable. Over the years I've upgraded my PC and had many, many hours of immersion with it.

-Fallout 3
It basically took a lot of the problems I had with Oblivion and improved them. I also prefered the setting.

-Dragon Age: Origins
I wasn't even vaguely interested in playing this at first, but my friend ended up lending me a copy and my love started to grow and blossom. It was also the first game I played where it really felt like I was choosing what was happening.
