What games have you given up on due to difficulty?

Well, I have been playing GoW:Ascension and have gotten up to THAT TOWER.

Small area, two medusa after you kill the first two pairs you get the sirens... with lightning magic.

So closed off area, half of where you could normally move to, creatures that have wide sweeping attacks, and casters that summon lightning on you if you don't move... And since the medusas can crush you if the petrify beam catches you makes the fight incredibly frustrating...

Oh, and this is the first tier.

The game isn't hard by any stretch, but this fight is ridiculously unfair. I have been swiped twice in a row and zapped by two bolts of lightning, leaving me with half my health. And the sirens? Yes, three pairs of those too.

Shogun 2? Me too! I didn't exactly give up due to difficulty - more a combination of being a little bored with the slog of it all, and then having every single clan declare war on me.
But, a definite one for the topic: SpaceChem. I keep meaning to go back to it and try some more, but at the point I'm at I see no way to do it without looking for help (which I haven't done at all).

Um I kind of ragequit the Monster Hunter Ultimate Demo on 3ds because I was super puzzled about the controls and what I was doing. I'll probably pick the game up though I'm guessing it's more inviting from the start of the actual game.

I think the only other game I've found too hard was Little Big Adventure. At 11 years old I had no fucking clue how to play that game. It's probably easy but I was clueless.

Vagrant Story. I would need to get back to this game with a guide if I want to beat it because it becomes more about statistics than fighting skill. Great game though, and I wish more turn based RPG's were built like it.

for some reason I found Deus Ex Human Revolution really hard... it was like "Oh, tehre's some guys and I'll shoot them and.. I'm dead. Ok, maybe if I do it this way.. dead. Ok, maybe I'll just .. dead. Ok.. Dead. This is getting ridi..dead."

I do plan to give it another shot eventually, but it was hilarious how much i died in the beginning of that game.
