hardly any at all

I HATE romantic comdeies and all the cliches assosiated with them...the inrealistic Ideas of finding mr right...that a womens goal in life is to find a man..have the PERFECT wedding

I DONT want to be a housewife...I resent the very Idea

I hate high heels

I dont feel the need to put pink everywhere, generally I think its an ugly colour...(in some cases its not so bad)

I play games violent or otherwise...anyone insinuating I'm not a "real" gamer or a poser or not "that" into it can fuck off (excuse the profanity)

I like action and sci fi movies

I hardly wear dresses or skirts (I wear a skirt to work however)...mostly jeans and sneakers (when I can)

I have no interest in fashion and most of it goes over my head

I dont give a fuck about celebrities and find it hard to understand why anyone does

I drink engergy drinks which are very obviously targeted towards males (because I dont drink coffee)

I love NIN and rap (especially rap) my favorite song by eminem is also one of his most woman hating

when I was a kid I prefered boys toys

-I spend more money on tech than clothes. Along with this, I hate shopping for clothes.
-I hate chick TV shows like the Bachelorette or Fashion/Celebrity Gossip.
-I'm a gamer, which is still a dude thing.
-My magazine of choice is Game Informer and not some women's magazine. I can't even name one. Like... Cosmo? I think that's one.
-I listen to metal, which has a high male fan base, almost exclusively.
-I don't expect a man to support me and be my Prince Charming. I plan on earning my own income and having a career.
-I despise Twilight and cheesy romance flicks.

Suck it, female stereotypes.
agreed, the thing stuff targeted towards females just sucks outright (most of the time) I find female sterotypes worse than male sterotypes

I feel so honored! I've been proposed to on the Escapist. ...Now if only guys in real life would appreciate my lack of uber-femininity.
You're not meeting the right men, although I think it's the sailor swearing that really di it for me.

On topic: Where to begin...
1) I have a weird thing about my hair
2) I'm studying drama, and I'm very good at effeminate roles... For some reason...
3) Show me an engine, I'll show you a book, then go and read it.
4) Mindless violence just irritates me
5) Pointless male posturing does as well
6) I'd rather play an obscure platforming game than a guns out man fest
7) I despise football, it's dull to watch, play and sing about
8) I like emotional heart to hearts
9) I prefer long term relationships over one nightstands
10) Many more... But I shall not clog up the forum

(I have a horrible feeling that if Liberal Squirrel does accept I may swiftly be made her ***** D;)
Aw, you sound adorable. A guy who enjoys books, obscure platforming games, and is actually interested in a long term relationship? And studying drama? I may be averse to marrying strange men that I meet on a gaming website, but I will friend you.

And yes, I have a feeling you would indeed be made my *****. ;P
This story made me teary almost. Someone should make a movie about it.

I am a woman so here goes...
-I swear often.
-I despise (most) chick flicks.
-I am a very sexual person, and I have a higher sex drive than most people or at least the ones I have met.
-I can have a relationship based purely on sex and not become attached emotionally.
-I am loud.
-I laugh when someone farts.
-I hate talking on the phone, but I do love texting so maybe that one doesn't count.
-If you want to go with some really antiquated gender roles, I am very opinionated and I tend to be a dominant sort of person in general.
-I am not currently in a kitchen. Shocking, I know.

Despite this, I also have several traits that are highly feminine. I love to bake, like children, want to become a public school teacher, and I have a mothering streak a mile wide.
... Apart from the sex thing(s) (as far as I'm aware... ahem...) you sound just like my sister. *brr* Most of her boyfriends have essentially been her bitches (and even I'm scared of her, and let me put this into context, she's 5'2" and looks as though a breeze could knock her over).

OT: Guy here... though I adhere to most societal norms of what a 'manly man' should be:

1) I enjoy cooking and baking, and most people tell me I make damned good three course meal.
2) I clean up after myself, have a look at my studio flat, the only stray items are the carrier bags that I will use for rubbish.
3) I do let myself become emotional and freely cry when watching depressing movies.
4) I'm fussy about the state of my hands, washing them every time they've even potentially gotten dirty.
5) I read/watch shoujo manga/anime (though I'm picky and there are few that I genuinely like).
6) Though it's common to older men (read: 60+), I cross my legs in the 'lady-like' way.
7) Most people would probably disagree but I think I'm not particularly tech-savvy.
8) I love cute things (kittens, plushies and so on).

Having said that, I indulge in a lot of violence (martial arts etc. as well as in-game), have an obsession with military history, know my way around field-artillery, small-arms and bladed weapons from most eras, can name virtually every WWII tank just from their profile silhouettes, and thoroughly enjoy cricket and football (soccer for you weirdos over the pond) (watching and playing for both).

EDIT:

I don't ascribe to the male gender role of having sex with women.

That lack of sex, of course, isn't by choice. *foreveralone.jpg*

Hrm, well, I did a degree in video game design, coming across from microbiology. I hate wearing dresses and the only heels that I voluntarily wear are leather boots. I have a passion for motorbikes, sci-fi and video games, I hate chick flicks and the only make up I own is for stage performances (mostly black eyeliner).

Other than that, really typical girl. I talk to my girl mates about boys, I like fairly standard music (read: Bon Jovi and related music) and restrictively I like shopping (depends on what I'm buying). I'm also a rather good cook and my hot chocolate is to die for. :)

You call them girl mates, is that even a thing?

Anyway I thought I wasn't going to live up to a lot of the "man standards" but the more I try them the more I enjoy them.

Things I've found myself doing that I didn't think I would:
-Driving a manual is fun, driving in general is fun so I'm starting to edge towards top gear-ness.
-Once I started working out I really found it quite addictive.
-Drinking is fun (though I'm a lightweight so an iron stomach is one thing I won't achieve)

OT:
Ooh I got one! I don't like watching Rugby, Cricket or Aussie Rules football or many sports in general, I will watch Football though and Tennis as well as women's beach volleyball come Olympics time. (Also general olympic sports)

On paper, I sound pretty masculine. I do a martial art, I frequently work out, I have dabbled in free-running, and frequently find myself covered in cuts, bruises, scars, etc. I worry about not earning as much money as my girlfriend, I eat twice as much as the average person, I feel ashamed and weak if I cry, I'm super-competitive, and I can be quite the cocky dickhead if the situation calls for it. I even pick up spiders with my god-damned hands.

But then:

I've got a puppy-face, a slim womanly build, love to cook, like to clean, I'm useless in any sort of 'handy' job, I used to practise yoga, I love high-pitched male singers, I like a more 'effeminate' style of dress even if I don't subscribe to it, I have twice as much jewellery than your mother will have, I want to be able to cry without feeling ashamed, I hate my own body hair and regularly pluck and shave it off, I like poetry, I've enjoyed musicals, I develop man-crushes, and I love to sing in a horrible imitation of aforementioned high-pitched male singers. Also, clumsy puppies make me melt.

Male
I don't masturbate.
I don't like leading.
I hate sports.
I hate using violence except in self defense.
I like some cute things.
I am pretty emotional but since I have entered secondary school I have gotten a harder shell.
I don't like cars.
I could never cheat on a girlfriend or boyfriend.
I'm not strong.
I hate the idea of being sexually assaulted by anyone (some people say i'm meant to like it of an attractive woman sexually assualts me.)

I'm sure there are more I hate gender roles and want them to go die so people can do what they want with their life.

Yes. They are girls and they are my mates. I grew up in Australia - hence, mates. Girl mates. I should also mention I love watching the Brisbane Broncos play (thoroughly sad to see Lockyer go. Man's a damn legend).

Before you read any of this, I'm going to say I'm a straight male.
Let's see...
I fail to see the relevance of an army and wars in the 21st century. Yeah, I know there will always be wars, but I'd like to think we could evolve past that if we wanted to.
I'm not a gun nut.
I'm not a patriot to my country or any other, in fact I don't really care about such things.
I'm into art, more specifically films(not just limited a certain genre as is the case for most people apparently, literally any genre will do as long as the films interesting) and photography(both looking at works from others and taking some shots of my own).
Not interested in sports.
I find cure animals cute.
I'd rather use my brains than my fists(and I generally do... and don't think I'm a scrawny fella, I'm actually built rather well, I just detest violence).
I like having intelligent conversations.
I do put SOME effort in how I look.
Most of the good friends I have are in fact of the opposite gender(it is my impression that the stereotypical "manly" man only wants women for sex, and nothing else... correct me if I am mistaken here)
Not a loudmouth extravert.
I think.
I'm not a complete retard.
I like pudding.
I drink wine, cider and various spirits in addition to beer, as opposed to drinking just beer exclusively.
I smoke cigarettes I hand-roll myself, as opposed to smoking the absolute rubbish they sell in packs. In addition to that, my tobacco is flavoured and so are my papers. And the filters are slim ones and have menthol.
I don't have a drivers license (though that's not because I don't want one but rather because I'd rather spend my money on photographic equipment than a drivers license right now).
I don't want a normal life (9 to 5 dead-end job, wife, kids, settle down at a really dull area, et cetera), I want to see the world, and I don't want to be tied down by anything or anyone, and I wont allow anything or anyone do that to me.

So yeah, not exactly the posterboy for manliness.

I have very little interest in football, and I read the instructions for flatpacked furniture. Oh, and I'm shit at cooking on a barbecue.

That's pretty much it.
