Seriously, what have they done? Why can't they give us a proper Tomb Raider game and leave this for the inevitable Lego version?

Hmmmm. Interesting. While it doesn't have the feel of the old school Tomb Raiders it will mean I can play it with someone else.

I don't know. I would probably play it. I don't care that much for the lego games, they are okay but once you've played one you've played them all. This could have some potential.

Looks more entertaining than normal Tomb Raider games to me. Ive never really been a fan of them. Looks kinda like Tomb Raider: Diablo III though.

This is NOT a Tomb Raider game. This is a Lara Croft game. It has nothing to do with the previous series so don't get disheartened. The next Tomb Raider game will be the traditional TR not this.

Also, it's not a Tomb Raider game, it's Lara Croft and the whatever whatever. You should think of this as a completely different series.
I'm glad it's different, I never really liked the Tomb Raider games to begin with.

I'm actually surprised they aren't just trying to copy Uncharted since it's basically what Tomb Raider should be.

Tomb raider has to evolve in order to still be relevant today the first game was good simply because of the time in which it was made, you can't demand a series to be the same in each version, they must expand if that means a few missteps (angel of darkness anyone?) it will either die out as a series or become great in it's own right.

It does look pretty much like they're taking the Diablo route, but let's be honest, the series needs a bit of a change after Underworld (which I still haven't played, Goddammit).

Pull it off right and it could be just what the franchise needs. Pull it off wrong and you're looking at another Barbie: Horse adventures (if you don't know what I'm talking about, there was a serious video review worth a laugh or six).

Hah, that was the first thing I thought of, especially at the frame at 0:23 I thought "These environments really look a lot like Diablo 3." And you know what, that ain't a bad thing. I really like the looks of this game, should be pretty entertaining.
