Well, I'm gonna burst your bubble. Pleasure played in this first session too, although it's difficult for me to really enjoy myself with others because I waited too long to become sexually active. I stay aroused longer than most men without being able to achieve release.

She told me before the session that my interests can inform my experience, but recommended not going in with a checklist in my head, because that would mean not really relinquishing control. I was so worried about doing something wrong, until she explained in that email that I couldn't. That she would give me guidance and correction and, if needed, a firmer hand. Struggling and making mistakes is just a part of the experience, she said. My only job was to please her. Not having expectations definitely helped too. I stopped having these nervous shakes after that email. (But they returned about twenty minutes before.)

Before I left the dungeon, she asked if I wanted some treats. I declined and then had a big case of the munchies on my way home. Ate twenty dollars worth of McDonalds, where I normally never go, and bought a bag of Jolly Ranchers. Didn't think extreme submission would give me such a sugar crash.
Well, in the spirit of the thread, today I learned... too much. Congrats, I guess? I'm gonna leave. Yeah, I'm just gonna leave that... there.

the reason why scientific paper publishing is so fucked nowadays is quite literally cause Ghislaine Maxwell's (yes that Ghislaine) dad, Robert Maxwell was financed by Mi6 in post-WW2 Berlin to help his startup after he came into ownership of a warehouse of papers by someone who unfortunately told him they were usually given away for free. Oh, after killing a load of Nazis and committing some war crimes bad enough to make his own men very uncomfortable

Robert Maxwell makes a full heel turn in this episode, going from badass killer of the SS to not so badass corporate ghoul who murdered science and also spied for Israel and the UK.
the relevant parts are in the second half, but the original story and nazi killing/war crimes is in first if curious

You know his daughter as Jeffrey Epstein's right hand woman. Robert tells guest Adam Conover about Ghislaine Maxwell's dad, Robert Maxwell. He started his life on a Nazi murder quest and ended it by killing science as a field of endeavor and raiding millions from his company pension plan.

I don't think its a secret that Robert Maxwell was a bastard. Like at all.

TIL I learned of something called scrapple, which is a 'meat' mush made mostly of flour and pork offal scraps not good enough to be made into hotdogs.

Ew, what the hell? What's not good enough for a hot dog? The hair and hooves?

Hmmm, googling just says it's made from offal, which, not to my taste (though processed meats would have it), but ok, don't waste bits of the animal. Trying to make it classy...I think a scrapple sandwich would be more edible than scrapple and cinnamon rolls.

Take it from me as a neuroscientist who knows an awful lot about glutamate and the brain:

You don't need to know anything about glutamate to understand why being less active and less stressed makes you feel better and more energetic.
In a similar vein -

Dammit, and I had plans in 10⁷⁹ years. Now I have to completely redo my schedule.

Team Cherry and GRRM were asked for comment. Both only replied with "challenge accepted"

Core Gaming's business model is also slightly different. The AI-driven mobile gaming developer, has developed or co-developed over 2,100 games, with 790 million downloads and 43 million monthly active users (MAUs). However, Core Gaming focuses more on its portfolio size and AI technology (e.g., AI COMIC App) rather than highlighting individual flagship games.
Wow, over 2000 games, no wonder mobile gaming is such a dumpster fire.

The one thing the US has better food standards for than the UK is Ice Cream. You can call basically anything ice cream in the UK partly because they wanted to be inclusive and allow vegans to have ice cream even though vegan ice cream is literally an oxymoron. You can sell vanilla ice cream in the UK that has no vanilla, milk or cream in it. So ice cream in the UK is mainly just frozen vegetable oils. Also, originally ice cream had to be made with eggs so real ice cream is actually custard so calling the custard from Culvers ice cream is perfectly fine. Culvers is even more amazing than I thought! Lastly, Dairy Queen does not have ice cream so don't go there, they have inferior product.

In FF7 you fight different versions of the giant monster Sephiroth depending on certain conditions being met. When I recently replayed the game I was dreading that fight because I remembered using two parties just kind of sucking, and also I didn't have much equipment or materia for anyone but my main party. However, when I got to the fight... I just fought it with one party of three. I was really confused and concluded I must have somehow misremembered the fight despite playing the game 3 times. Today I just learned I was right all along, and it's just that my party level was low enough to trigger the 1 party form.

Arthur Miller had a son with Down syndrome, Daniel, and had him institutionalized.

He also had a daughter, novelist/filmmaker Rebecca.

Rebecca married actor Daniel Day Lewis.

Daniel Day Lewis talked Arthur into finally visiting his son.
