5070 ti. With Battlefield 6 coming out and Kiling Floor 3 kinda feeling like a bit of a strain maxed out on my 3080 it kinda felt like time to upgrade and this was the first time I saw a 5070ti for somewhat around msrp.

I hope you've got a good PSU to go with it. And make absolutely sure that that 12VHPWR plug is securely plugged in.

I've got an evga 850 plus I think that was mainly an issue with the 5090 cards.

I bought a secondhand Xbox One X.

But Chimpzy, why not go for one of the Series consoles?

Well, mostly because my main interest in it is as BC machine for my old Xbox disc games, since my og Xbox is dead and my 360 is also ailing, and maybe the handful of Xbone exclusives that aren't on pc. Anyway, a Series S is useless for this purpose and I won't find a Series X (or S for that matter) for only 70 euros. A One X will serve my ends just fine.

I was surprised by how heavy it is. And fairly quiet, compared to its contemporaries at least. UI sucks tho. Clumsy. Slow. Seriously, why does it run worse than the UI on a 360, significantly weaker hardware. And the 360 UI I'm talking about isn't even the good one.

Anyway, now I'll finally be able to complete Lost Odyssey, because the way Xbone BC works doesn't require all 4 discs to work, I only need the first one.

Addendum: also, downloading updates on this thing takes forever

How did you get your 360 games to work? For whatever reason, the one x I bought off my brother, a few years ago, stop working with any type of Xbox or 360 disc, aside from Xone games. This is a problem that had been going on since last year, but I didn't know about it until a few months ago. I traded in my one x for a refurbished 360. The One X pretty much became useless for me. Even more redundant, now that I have a PS5 and my PS4 still. The great news is that I backed up my profile and kept all my saves. Though I can't get certain digital games anymore due to the removal of the XBLA store. That includes certain dlcs, for even disc based games. I don't regret the trade in and there are still certain 360 games that are not backwards compatible for XONE, so it works in my favor anyway.

I just put in the disc, then it asks to download an update (tho what it actually downloads is an Xbone port of the game). When that's done, I can play as long as the disc is in the console.

I bought a new phone because my current Moto G52 sucks at making phone calls; either people can't hear me, I can't hear them or neither can hear each other. I think it gets confused with sound outputs as I use bluetooth in the car and for earbuds, messing with the sound during a call doesn't fix the issue. I bought the OnePlus N30 phone for $250 from Best Buy.

Few Dollars More and GBU from Arrow Video that I ordered seven months ago arrived like six days ago, but I don't feel like opening the OrbitDVD box. Would just have to pack them up again, along with Fistful, for the move that can't come soon enough. Miss having a private space for my TV and speakers so much. Huge decline in movie watching the last 14 months, and these last few months none at all. Would watch these 2.4:1 movies on my 2.4:1 monitor even with the inferior HDR and only IPS Black instead of OLED, but all the grain of these very grainy movies is too obvious up close.

Well, I'm glad you're happy with it. Just make sure it's securely plugged-in, and if anything happens to jostle the system, re-check it.
They actually have a light that is setup to make sure the thing is plugged in securely.

Got myself an Xbox Series controller because the Xbone one that came with the secondhand Xbone X I got recently developed severe drift in the left stick after like three weeks, to the point that basic menu navigation had become a huge pain in the ass. Annoying. Also first time I've ever had a controller get stick drift on me. Not even my Joycons.

Nice controller. Plenty of things you can fault MS for. Like so, so, so, so many things. But their controller game is pretty strong. Feels sturdy and weighty, but not cumbersome. Sticks, triggers and buttons feel nice. I like that bit of texture they have on the back of the grips, makes them nice and, er, grippy. Not fond of the d-pad. Bit too clicky. But then, I'm one of those weirdos that still swears by the Sega 6-button pad style d-pad.

Anyway, can also replace my venerable Dualshock 4 I use on pc, as that that one has it's share of problems too, like no longer charging and the micro-usb connection sometimes dropping.

If you got one of the Xbox Series 2 elite controllers, they come with magnetic swaps for the d-pad, including one of those 6 button pad styles. They also run like $170 and I've had a couple whos L & R-buttons have gotten weird.

Just a regular one. I'm not willing to lay down that much for a controller.

Aside from the L & R Button bs, its a really great controller. Feels really good, the force feedback feels great in games that really use it well, battery lasts a long time. But yeah, price is really high, especially for having that L & R button bs. Plus, cheap third party controllers lately have gotten really good. I have a gamesir and a 8bitdo that both feel pretty good.

I bought one of those ice cream scoops where you clutch the handles together and a metal thingy swipes the scoop off the spoon. Also a rolling pin and some coasters.
