For me, I just can't stand General George Patton. The guy is a total prick and one of the most closed-minded people ever to exist. He would kick soldiers out of hospitals for shell shock, because he didn't understand that not everyone loved war and killing Germans like him. He lived for war, nothing else was interesting to him. That's a pretty sick person in my book. This would never be tolerated in today's military.

He even made some dumb speech, which is probably the most unmotivating speech I've ever read. It basically said "You are all here to fight, and kill krauts. You will do this without question. Go do it, sons-of-bitches." Gee, thanks George, that sure motivated the troops. That they are just slaves here to do your dirty work, awesome.
Okay look, most people are going to say Hitler right? This I don't get. Didn't Stalin have over 3 times killed in his Gulag's by overworking them? You know, the whole making the horse into glue after breaking him in Animal Farm by Orsen Wells. So why does everyone say Hitler? I mean, I'll give him #2 spot...but the worst. By pure numbers....hands down. And if you don't think it was partly due to racism, look at how many Ukranians were killed.

Different forms of torture used in either case...but torture, death, mass and selective killings and the destruction of the history of many families existance. Lots more people got these same treatments...thats pretty bad.
Because the number of deaths isn't the only way to measure how much of a jerk a ruler was?
What? What the heck did Hitler do that Stalin didn't? Stalin did all of that in higher quantity. Cooking a person to death, and freezing them to death still are both ways to torture a person to death. Killing families, especially those politically affiliated, or of Ukranian decent. What do you base your reply on?

Since when is a Jewish persons life worth more than an Ukranian, huh?!

Nostradamus. Hes a bit of a superstar in pop-culture for his easily ambiguous prophecies.
Nostradamus can't really be blamed for working in vague predictions. He did show one instance of exceptional foresight in that he managed to expect the Spanish Inquisition. He knew that, being Jewish, he was going to have to play his cards right if he wanted to go on boning his nobly-born Christian girlfriend without being burnt at the stake, and he did the best he could under the circumstances.

I'm gonna go with whoever mentioned Andrew Jackson. There's just no forgiving the trail of tears.

Did Stalin start the biggest war in modern history that resulted in huge political tensions in Europe over 60 years after its end and ushered in the Cold War?

Other then the obvious (fascist dictators and such)...
Thomas Edison, and anyone else who got in the way of Nikola Tesla. I can only imagine how much farther Tesla would have advanced technology if he hadn't been weighed down by short sighted jerks.
Zombie Tesla for undead president!

PATTON FTW

He was a lot less close minded than a lot of people back then as well,

"I don't give a damn who the man is. He can be a ****** or a Jew, but if he has the stuff and does his duty, he can have anything I've got. By God! I love him."-George S. Patton Jr

OT: Stalin or Mao

No...Stalin just ushered in the actual Cold War...which If I'm not mistaken, we still suffer from today.

What can you see in direct consequence due to only Hitler, since Stalin and Hitler had an arms race during the prewar crisis of WW2. It was Hitlers desire to take out Sadam first that began his invasion of Czechoslavakia (just as much as the rineland to conflict a two prong war)...Both people impacted the pre WW2 and WW2 era since both the Gulag killings and holocaust happened at the same time (but Stalin killed OVER 3 times). Within that each share the consequence of the Cold war, though Stalin had an active role DURING the Cold war. Only thing I can see Hilter had a direct connection with that Saddam didn't is the Palistien/Israeli conflict.

So in a way...yes...Stalin did help usher in the biggest war in modern history by pushing Hitlers war train. EDIT:and pushing his own war train...not to mention his invasions and creating of the iron curtian...how many died because of that?

Plus over three times the torture deaths.

Oooh. Sorry to correct you, but see the bold text.

Personally, I'd say pretty much all of the American Presidents. I have nothing against America, but the more I read about these guys the more I dislike them. Mostly because they were almost all high on Manifest Destiny. Some of them I don't hate, but I have grievances with most of them stretching all the way to John Kennedy, and even after him there was the grand-master of douchebaggery that was Reagan.

A short list of other historical people that I really dislike:

Brian Mulroney: Canadian Prime Minister, he is to me what a cork is to a bovine's ass: a big blockage that's covered in bullshit.

Patton and Churchill: They were brilliant men, and perfect for their jobs at the time, but they both overshadow the everyday men and women from the Allied war front. I guess it's for the same reason I dislike Call of Duty 6: It's not bad, but it's too distracting for the rest of the world.

Eve: Well, if it wasn't for her, we wouldn't be in this mess, now would we? I jest, I am Catholic but am a firm believer in Scientific Fact.

Seconded

Also, Emily Bronte, she wrote Wuthering Heights. I have to read that over these Christmas holidays and it's like scraping a cheese grater over my eyes.

Wilhelm II of Germany. If he hadn't of been a complete moron and left Germany the way it was after Bismarck, and heck, LEFT Bismarck in duty, WWI could have been avoided, thus, WWII avoided.

Complete idiot, I tell you.

Andrew Jackson was a horrible, horrible human being. He perpetrated the murder of thousands with flippant arrogance. The Native Americans he forced out of their homes fought alongside him during the war, but Jackson denied this when questioned to avoid looking like a traitor. He was despicable and vile.
