Whatever, just wash your hands.
I think it would be hard for the game to be bad, but its bethesda, so I can totally see it being buggy out the ass.

If it's awful, I'll eat my hat. I don't even own a hat, but I will find one and eat it for the sole purpose of expressing my amazement.

It's a Bethesda game, so it might have a ton of bugs that cripple the game. I'm also expecting 4 or 5 different voice actors, along with 25 different faces to go along with them.
Mods, 80-ish voice actors, and they'll be hundreds of faces. I don't think oblivion repeated faces, why should Skyrim? Not to say Oblivion NPC's didn't look terrifyingly bad...

Mods have been a pretty essential component of the TES series (and FO3) since Morrowind in 2001. If it sucks, make sure you get it on PC so thousands of dedicated modders can un-suck it.

If that's the case, I'll avoid gaming websites for a while. It was annoying enough after Dragon Age II, and that wasn't even a bad game.

I'm kind of expecting it to suck. After Oblivion to F3 to New Vegas, it seems to be in a constant down. I'll probably rent it.

New Vegas was made by Obsidian not Bethesda. Also New Vegas was good.
I thought New Vegas was horrible actually. Even with mods.

I would laugh for like ten minutes straight at all the people I know who pre-order it and then began planing their lives a month afterwards around playing it. Then it would become a running joke.
Hey, X...
Yeah well you pre-order Skyrim.... HAHAHAHAHAHA
Yeah, that'd be awesome.

Ninja'd!

If it sucks, I will chuckle, because there is MEGA hype saying it will be amazing. Then I will be sad, cause I kinda wanted to play it... then I will hope EA doesn't kill ME3.

It is soooo nice to see beards and proper eyes back after Oblivion fucked them up.

Seriously, every time I saw a dunmer in Oblivion I wanted to say: "there's a visine for that!" Stupid just using red-tinged human eyes...

Also I always missed the bosmer's wacky bug eyes.

For the record, by this point Bethesda would have to completely revamp the game in order for it to suck. If the various multi-hour demos remain true to the actual game, it should be fine (if they don't, then Bethesda had a pretty busy month).
For everyone talking about the numerous bugs of Bethesda games, I've played and beaten Morrowind, Oblivion, Fallout 3, and New Vegas and have only come across one actual game-breaking glitch (in which a Deathclaw teleported several feet forward after I loaded a game, thus rendering it impossible to sneak past). Maybe that's because I don't actually go looking for them.

If it does, the fanboy outcry will be SO intense that the Internet spontaneously sucks itself up into its own @ssh0le!!!

Again i must point out that FALLOUT: NEW VEGAS WAS NOT DEVELOPED BY BETHESDA, IT WAS DEVELOPED BY OBSIDIAN. therefore any praise or fault for the game should go to them and not Bethesda. Why did I get so angry about this fact in this particular instance? Wel that's because it had been mentioned on this very page.

Same thing I told my roommate when he asked 'what if Skyrim turns out to be like Dragon Age 2?';

Kill everything.

Impossible. The mod community will fix any problems that it has. If you own it for console, well, that sucks for you.
Actually Bethesda says they want to put mods on the console.

I'd not be surprised, have you played their other recent games? I can't figure out what went wrong, Morrowind was so good.
The last game they made was Fallout 3, but they published a ton of shitty games. Big difference, you don't say EA developed Mass Effect, do you?
Of course I don't. Mass Effect came out before EA bought Bioware. So I say that EA developed Mass Effect 2.
Fact is, when the guy who sign your paychecks tells you and your staff to make a game a certain way then you do it. They tell you have it ready by X then you have it ready by X. They may not be the ones actually doing the work on it but they get to dictate whatever they please about the game.
Uhh, no. A developer develops the game, while the publisher publishes the game. Argue all you want, but this is simply the truth.
