Well, it is highly improbable. Given all the publicity and hype it has been given, Bethesda knows that if it completely bombs nobody will probably ever forgive them. They'll basically shoot themselves in the foot with a bazooka.

But alas, if it DOES suck, I will be pissed for having paid 600 SEK for it. Then I'll probably go play Oblivion a bit, before finally finishing Majoras Mask in preparation of LoZ: Skyward Sword. And play some Saints Row 3. And maybe some Batman: Arkham City.

So yeah, I'd probably survive.

Play through Morrowind again (though I must admit, I still haven't made it all the way through Morrowind's main quest; I keep getting distracted by the side-quests).

Edit: Though to be fair I'm not holding out high hopes for Skyrim after how boring I found Oblivion...

I will put it on my shelf for a month or 2 after playing it like half way through and doing a ton of sidequests.

Then come back to TESNexus and download all the mods that make it 10x better.
Problem solved.

Give it a month or so, and it'll be de-bugged enough for it's no doubt brilliant gameplay to shine through.

It's a Bethesda game, so it might have a ton of bugs that cripple the game. I'm also expecting 4 or 5 different voice actors, along with 25 different faces to go along with them.

I'm not a huge fan (never completed Oblivion and Didn't enjoy Fallout 3) so I'm gonna hold off on Skyrim (many be a cheep pick up next year when I'm finished with AC Revelations/Saint's Row3/Uncharted 3 and waiting for Mass Effect 3!

If Skyrim really is crap though, which it can't be, because the EA demo alone looked freakin' sexy, then I imagine that I'll be rather depressed, ***** about it a bit on the forums and find a way to blame it on EA or Activision, but, on the flipside, my life won't fall into ruin while I vegetate on the couch all Summer.

It won't. And even if it does, I'll still have Assassin's Creed Revelations and Modern Warfare 3 to keep me busy (and I'll probably still won't have finished Dark Souls by then).

It wont suck, Oblivion was awesome, I enjyed what they did with Fallout, and they are a very competent studio.
Its gonna be the best game....... EVER!
