I've had a small mix. I first played the piano when I was in Primary School, then moved up to the guitar, then changed for the trumpet. Now I'm really crap at the guitar.

Piano, Grade 6

Theory is a *****
Excuse my ignorance, but what does grade mean?
Grades are levels. You start at zero, and after learning all the new stuff in each level, you play in an exam to an examiner. You play a few songs, you play a few scales and you answer a few questions. If you do well, you advance in grades. They get progressively MUCH harder as it goes along.

Grade 6 is "The Grade" to which everyone aspires. At 6, you know all you need to know to play any piece. Grades 7 and 8 (8 is highest) are basically learning how to play REALLY stupidly difficult pieces.

My dream is to one day play Hungarian Rhapsody. First I will play it properly, like this (WATCH IT all the way through, please. It's the greatest piano piece on earth)

Then I will learn to play it with a friend...like Victor Borge here (Victor was the world's greatest, funniest music-based comedian)

I don't really play any instruments, but if I was forced to play, I could play the violin, piano, trumpet, or a bass. Of course, my best instrument is the kazoo!

As evidenced by the name, I play piano. I also play drums and sing.

I really want to learn guitar at some point.

I play all the sax's, but normally play the Bari and Tenor. I want to learn Bass Guitar, and Drums.

What instruments do you play? What instruments do you want to learn?
I play piano and recorder, and used to play violin, but left it. I want to learn either cello or percussion. My sister plays cello, so does my aunt, my mother plays both recorder and flute, my grandfather played piano and organ, and many others of my family (that is, on my mother side) play an instrument, as we come from a big line of musicians.

I can play a few songs on bass, and I'm currently trying to learn a few songs on guitar. I can sing, horribly, but sing nevertheless!

I'm quite good with a guitar, passable on drums, passable on bass. I can play a few classical pieces on piano...despite not reading music. I really like the instrument though so I am going to seek some formal training. I sing, and I play some mandolin.

From band class I play the flute (I'm the one male flute player, I get cred for that), I taught myself guitar, and I have had violin lessons but never really got good. I also have an accordion I want to learn to play and a keyboard I mess around on occasionally.

Go flutes!
