When legend becomes fact, print legend.Xero Scythe said:a lie is a bending of fact and reality; a warping of your view of reality while trying to twist others to your fallacious view.
however, if enough people come to believe in that lie, it may become the truth.

OT: Love in general, I don't believe the human race of all creatures could be capable of some eternal emotion that bonds you to a single person. A crock of in my opinion. If it was the case, then where else does it appear in nature? I understand some animals pair up and don't split till one dies, but that is because it mutually benefits both parties (Low numbers may mean an incredibly small chance of locating another partner each season). It's nothing more than a combination of lust, peer pressure and chemical factors (Also not without the fear of winding up alone, you know it's a safer finacial bet being with someone else in later life).

Money is supposed to represent effort put into an economic system. It doesn't, hence the lie. Or something like that.Internet Kraken said:Thi...oh waitxmetatr0nx said:Wow, ive never seen someone so uptight about their own thread, youve even got rules posted and everything.

Hmm... I think... I don't know how to articulate it clearly, but something like being able to buy your way into the moral right. We buy these green things because we want to feel like we're saving the planet, these fair-trade coffee beans, these local, organic, fresh fruits. Some of us look at those who don't or who can't afford it with a raised eyebrow and a snort, "we're better than those people who don't care enough to pay a little extra to do the right thing." But really, we aren't buying these things out of the goodness of our heart. We're buying it because it's a status symbol. It puts us on higher moral ground. And, for reasons good or bad, the market realizes this and sells that belief to us. My point is not that you should boycott this movement just to spite whoever is trying to dupe you ? I actually think it's great that there's a market for doing the right thing ? but be aware that it doesn't make you a "better" person than anyone else. Some people just can't afford to buy social innocence.Schlen said:Honestly what do you think is today's greatest lie? 9/11? Money? Love?
