Untrue. Mr. Daystar's particular brand of swag is, in and of itself, classy. Or maybe his class is swaggy. I'm still not sure how that works.

Anyways, it's pretty interchangeable with "like a boss" in that they both mean that someone is so cool that they're cool with being that cool. If that makes any sense whatsoever.

According to my drafting professor, it stands of "stuff we all get".

It comes from tradeshows/conventions, something that has been around for decades. Every two-bit businessman handing out fridge magnets, designer gourmet pencil sharpeners, little calendars, and other assorted garbage with logos, names and numbers vomited all over them.

Apparently some time in the late 80s or early 90s, disc jockeys used it to start describing crappy band merch.

Some time in the early 00's, rappers used it so that I have no clue what the fuck it means anymore, and a new generation of young ones imitate what they see on TV... or youtube, fuck it, whatever.
