Ending cutscenes of Shadow Heart: Covenant made me cry like a baby. I loved it, and I still think about it time to time.

I loved the opening cinematic for Mirror's Edge (please don't shoot me), it was just so exhilarating to watch.

The Dragon Campaign from Legend of Dragoon... had shitty lip syncing, but the story and action was awesome.

The lip sync problem was only because they didn't change the video from the Japanese version. I agree with you, though.

The best actual cinematic for me would have to be Virmire from Mass Effect. Even though you control the dialogue, it's still a cutscene... kind of... But I'd have to say that the entire first level of Bioshock counts. That's easily the best scene-setting, erm, scene I've ever... viewed.

The Halo Wars cutscenes were good, especially since they were top notch CGI. Say what you will about the game (I'll probably agree with you), but other games could learn how to do good cutscenes from it.

They were good, until serena cut in with YET ANOTHER 'witty remark'.

Of those, I have to say, seeing the Spartans take down the swarms of Elite Honor Guards after the final mission was by FAR the best. So badass. Those 3 minutes made every single other cutscene a bit more tolerable.

Probably the Bioshock good ending, because it had me in tears by the end of it. However I replayed Fable 2 the other day and the opening cinematic with the bird is beautiful too.

Shadow of the Collosus had a lot of very impressive cinematics, the Metal Gear Solid series is pretty much known for BEING an epic cinematic...

So I'll say something new: The cinematics in Brutal Legend's demo. They might not be blow-your-mind pretty, or even somewhat impressive graphically, but they don't need to be. They're. AWESOME.

And the Mechwarrior 2 Cinematics, they were pure gold when they came out.

The intro (before you start the game, leave the title screen idle and you'll see) to Rygar the Legendary adventures still sends shivers up my spine, the music and action blend together so well.

I've also yet to see one that looks as good as the beginning of Onimusha 3, even today. Not to mention the action was pretty cool.
