I sohuld know im trying to beat as many Castlevania before Lords of Shadow release and these guys are a common enemy
Iron Knuckles from Zelda 2: The Adventure of Link. As a kid I could never beat these guy and when I beat the first palace I got really excited which was about 1 year ago.
They swarm all over the place and dart back and forth in huge numbers weakening me and exposing my position to all the other enemies anywhere near by.
Also I have to mention the Super Soldiers in Prototype. Not just because they are huge bulky bastards that don't die easily but because they can also 'see' you even when you are disguised. I can't count how many times I've barely escaped from a strike team with my life, morphed into a regular military outfit and then taken a moment to rest and regain my health only for a Super Soldier to suddenly jump right next to me, sniff me and then roar at me and have the alarm set all over again.
Also, the Geth Stalkers from Mass Effect 1 and those huge Mechs from Mass Effect 2. One for being too jumpy and hard to hit while also depleting all my weapon's energy in one shot and the other for being a huge mechanized terror that just walks across the battlefield absorbing every shot I fire at it until it is right up in my face.
A lot of game enemies really annoy me come to think of it.
Cougars from Red Dead Redemption are nasty, too. Fast, agile, hard to hear until it's about too late. Kill your horse in one hit, you in two. And where there's one cougar, there's more nearby.
Flood infection forms from Halo, Antlions from Half-Life 2, Tickers from Gears of War, babies from Dead Space, etc. usually the little enemies that just come out of nowhere annoy me the most
I have to say those micro geckos from MGS4 I just completed my first play through and those little fucks are so annoying and always where you don't want them to be. . And water elementals from wow I'm a frost spec DK and all my bad-ass spells don't hurt them
Anything spider-based, because they're usually big and thus creep the shit out of me. And nearly everything in Half Life 2; the Combine I didn't mind, but for every one of them there were plenty of headcrabs and manhacks and poison zombies and antlions.
Everything in Castlevania: Harmony of Despair on Hard Mode... Seriously when a fucking BAT does 50 damage and you have like 300 some health and are only able to carry one super potion at a time, and on the later levels there are only 2 or 3 inventory books in the level (Two in the two spawn areas and one in a place that takes for-fucking-ever to get to and is usually surrounded by hoards of enemies or almost impossible platforming sections) shit gets hard.
Any mooks that are easily defeated but just strong enough not to be able to ignore without taking a bit too much damage (or fast enough that they can't just be outrun). Pirates in Darkstar One, most animals weaker than mountain lions in Oblivion, Raiders, and the overwhelming majority of random battles in JRPGs.
