Well I hated the end to Call Of Duty Black Ops. Wasn't much of an ending really, more like
"you killed the person who hates America for no given reason so here's the end credits and a round of zombies." Besides that most ending to anime's since they end way before the manga plotline ends often causing this "we pulled this out of our ass endings" most notably Negima.

The original ending to Kampfer, the previous episode seemed like it was leading up to the final showdown, then we get this weird Christmas story with the entrail animals. I mean it was mildly funny but still a disappointment . I'm hoping the second OVA helps it out.

EDIT: It didn't, it just left me wanting more

The most dissapointing/irritating ending is the "Look at us were gonna make a sequel ending".
There is nothing wrong with letting the audience know there will be a second part to your story but each game should be a contained narrative not a half finished one.

A strange Dreamcast game called Illbleed had a sort of downer ending. It had a Bad, Good, and 'True' Ending. The True ending is my beef.

For one thing, to get the true ending, you must play through a second time after getting the Good ending, and save NONE of your friends or allies to be in the process. (This results in the heroine becoming dressed in a manner you would not want to explain to any non-gamer, because you'd never win at justifying it.)

The Good Ending has you and your friends living it up at the Beach after winning the story's 100 Million Prize.

The TRUE Ending has the main heroine no longer the leader of the gang and their Horror Research Club...as she's gotten her sense of fear back, bigtime, making her a nervous wreck.

I beat the game! Uhm...yay?

Inception.Did the totem fall or didn't it?!
I hte when anything has an ending in which it doesn't tell you what happened. Who on Earth thought it would be a good idea to tell a stor and then just abruplty stop at one of the be-

Inception. All we needed was 2 more seconds of film!
See, that ending was perfect in my view:

Not because it left us "not knowing whether they were still in a dream or not", but by leaving things uncertain it communicated a much more important point for the story. Because Cobb walked out into the garden instead of watching the spinning top, it told us that he didn't actually care whether it was a dream or not - he was happy to stay there for the rest of his life anyway. It wasn't just an arbitrary bit of unresolved story, it actually was the resolution to the story of Cobb.

Final Fantasy 13 I'm not going to spoil it since I don't know how to do the spoiler box thing. I'm just going to say it didn't make any sense and how did that happen?

Baccano where they have a guy in a top hat come on board and tell us we don't deserve an ending

Mass Effect. Because there's no real resolution. You beat the bad guys, look happy, cut to credits.

It would have been nice, after crossing the galaxy theoretically affecting the world and people around you, to actually have... I dunno, something. Some kind of epilogue, or a debrief with your crew--an afterparty, even. For a story-centric game to just cut everything short 20 seconds after beating the last boss is a big build to a big nuthin'.

Ah well.

A general rule is that every single game seems to end on a cliffhanger nowadays to ensure they can make more of them. I don't care for that. As far as specific games recently, Starcraft 2's ending annoyed the hell out of me.

Borderlands was a pretty sucky ending.

I really enjoyed the game, but it just had no real resolution.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest

Bringing a perfectly dead, and now, unimportant to the storyline bad guy back to life to be a good guy, makes no sense. Especially when you don't really explain how he's still alive even in the next movie, how did he get back by himself? If it was Calypso, (or whoever she is) on her own, why do they need a captain to go get Jack? Why can't she do it herself? And why was she bringing him back in the first place? Did she see this coming? And why doesn't he care that they killed him? He's fine to go along with them as if nothing happened.

FFS. When the credits rolled in the cinema, there was just five seconds of shock, and then about a year of rage until the next one came out.

Slightly off-topic, but why on Earth does that video have English subtitles when everyone in the film is speaking English?

The entire movie of matrix revolution as the ending to the matrix series.
This. Absolutely.

I tried to like Reloaded and Revolutions. I loved the original movie, but Reloaded felt too in love with itself to give the audience any love. I still went into Revolutions with hope in my heart... but left with only cold disappointment.

A cliff hanger, when the writer is just being lazy and doesn't want to write a conclusion.

Even worse, is anything along the lines of "And then I woke up..." or "It was all a dream"

See Repo Men as an example of a good story that gets fucked up, because the ending is basically
2nd half of the movie is all a dream, and therefore a waste of my time watching it

Michael Bay Productions Presents a Michael Bay Film: Transformers: Revenge of The Fallen. The second Optimus got his wings,it was just a curb-stomp-the-fallen event. No epic showdown, nothing. It was a boring and dissapointing ending overall and I wish Optimus would've stayed dead if it led to a more entertaining ending. (Though the movie focuses so much on the army and Shia Laboof that you may have forgotten that it was a Transformers movie)

Be sure to tune in for Dragon Age 3. Where we might finish the story
DA2's ending was an absolute ripoff. I was quite literally outraged that Bioware of all developers let that one slide.
