"the most R rated"
Can something be lightly R rated or extremely R rated? Are there varying degrees of R?
I was unaware.

Uhhh... any rated R movie I saw. They're all rated R. They can't be more than the others.
I disagree, because "R" is the last rating before outright ban, it can encompass anything from Rambo to the Saw Movies. which are definately two very different styles. In this case I woul argue that because it is nothing but pure torture, Saw could be considered "worse" or "more R rated" than Rambo.

oh, and the most R rated movie I have ever seen would be either Saw, or Monty Python's: the Life of Bryan. which makes the cut because it is banned for sale in the U.S.A. (thank you Laxer Canadian Ratings!)
Why the hell is Life of Brian banned in the US? Okay, it parodies Christianity. But since when is containing satire forbidden?

"Clockwork Orange" for me(uncut DVD ed., lots of more things over the theatrical/VHS versions).
EDIT:
Sorry about the unclear title.
actually that movie was rated X when it came out, however when they dropped the X rating in favor of the NC-17 rating, it was re-rated as R

there is no X rating any more, it's only used by porn movies. it was officially replaced by the NC-17 rating 20 or more years ago

Whats R again? 18+ ?

IMO no movie should be banned, 95% of what the USA gives an R would be 12+ in Europe I bet :p

Wow, friend. You seem to not have seen many "bad" movies at all.
Requim is bad, but by far its not the worst. Watchmen has some nudity, cussing, and gore, but it surely aint as bad(in terms of adultness, the movies are quite good), per se, a clockwork orange, or (shudder) many indie movies i have seen.

Full frontal nudity=automatic R rating in U.S.A. (yes, there is full frontal nudity in life of Brian.)

Cannibal Holocaust. Worst movie ever. Do yourself a favor and never watch it. The most disturbing movie ever made. The day after it was released in theaters, the director was imprisoned because the murder scenes appear so graphic and real.

R movies that should have been R rated

Shrooms was pretty intense and same with saw but saw was nc-17 until they edited it so it doesn't really count

P.S. For those wondering ratings go
U.S.
G
PG
PG-13
R
NC-17

Canada
G
PG
14A
18A(Same as R)
R(Same as NC-17)

So for canada it would be "An 18A movie you saw that should have been R For more info just check out wikipedia

Just by the title I'm never going to watch that movie.

Also I don't really know. I would have to say Zack and Miri Make A Porno, and that one wasn't even that bad. Of course, it is the only film that ever has actually made me upset because of the amount of swearing. And I NEVER am upset by that kind of stuff.

Well not literally but kinda. I mean, Saw and Slumdog Millionaire are both rated R.

it was a great movie and had a lot of the same hype as the Blair Witch Project

Those are all tame by my standards today. What has been seen cannot be unseen!

the movie companies want to make more money and a movie rated nc - 17 will turn people off from seeing it. thats why movies like die hard 4 and terminator salvation got pg - 13 instead of r; to appeal to a wider audience.

Live Free or Die Hard didn't deserve an R rating...

What rating was 'The Reader'? I saw that with my flatmates last night on DVD and it has a peadophilic relationship between a 15 year old boy and a 34 year old woman (Kate Winslet), and it shows her breasts repeatedly and his cock once. So that's my answer depending on whether or not someone else knows the film's rating.
