the movie companies want to make more money and a movie rated nc - 17 will turn people off from seeing it. thats why movies like die hard 4 and terminator salvation got pg - 13 instead of r; to appeal to a wider audience.

Funny story, I typed up a second line in that last post where I stipulated "trilogies where they made a fourth film later on," but I deleted it cause it would have changed the original dare too much.

Anyway, Harry Potter was one of the ones I was thinking of.

Now try to think of a good fourth film made after a successful trilogy!

I have to disagree...I thought the movie was awesome. Sure, it isn't as bloody of as vulgar as previous entries in the series, but it was still great and had a lot of great actions...

does the story for the trilogy have to be a story arc. or can it be a differetnt story w/ each movie. and does the fourth have to be story connected to the trilogy. or can it have the same basics but different story.
