After adding a few topics i thought people were really interested in and only get a very bare minimun responce i wondered what is the perfect topic? The topic that as soon as you read it you know you have to take part in it, and i dont mean put your opinion in then move on i mean a topic that you keep going back to and checking and adding to. Also on a side note does anyone know what topic has the most resonces, it'll be nice to try and beat it.

One you don't make to get responses, one you make because your actually curious what people have to say.
i not necasarilly posting this to get resonces, the last bit i mentioned was a sidenote, i realise there is no achievement or any sence of achomplishment just for having a set amount of people resonding, if i really wanted that i would post resonces myself. This is a genuine interest after having some failed topics posted and who knows it may spark an interest in other people who read this.

The perfect topic is any one which I choose to grace with a response.

You're welcome.

Seriously, though, the threads I find most interesting are usually the ones that have personal experiences and stories in them. And ones like the 3 am creepy stories one.

I think the topic with the most replies is probably the Holiday Council one - it has over 3000. Good luck trying to beat that.

The perfect topic is one that hasn't been done before, doesn't ask any questions, but leaves a lot of room open for debate and if possible, gives us a place for interesting stories of our unique life/gaming experiences to share.

I counted once when I was a kid, and it took me exactly 453 licks.

Original, thought-provoking, and allows discussion without necessarily ending in a flamewar. This is what makes a 'perfect' thread.

Was that to remove all traces of lolipop, or to merely touch your tongue to chocolate?

1) Get Mozilla it has a built in spell checker and will your life a whole lot easier.
2) I wasn't saying you made this to get responses I was merely stated that ones made of the merit of curiosity usually garner the curiosity of others and thus gets more replies.

The best threads are ones where some guy is getting the absolute shit ripped out of 'im because he holds such terrible opinions on something.

I just made a thread about Disney, with an obvious posed question and the first 10 responses were,

'I hate teh Diseny, teh are the worst thing in teh worldz!'

Then about 60% of the posts of n the whole thread were that. I really wish more people would read OPs and respond to what the OP says.

The best topics, in my opinion, are the casual ones where people just mess around and are loosely based around an interesting idea or question.

Anyway, the perfect topic is, of course, myself.
Particularly detailing my many awesome qualities.
Name 5, that dont include violence.
Violence counts for all 5, and qualifies quite nicely.

Just slam a console in your original post, and I am sure you will get plenty of views or posts. It of course will be unbearable to read, but the flames could be seen from distant planets.

This

There are many things that can effect the progress of a thread. Sometimes it simply has to do with the time the thread was posted. A thread that could potentially be great may go unnoticed. But this would be the basic foundation for what I believe to be a perfect thread.
