Most pokemon learn their moves faster as their most basic forms, rather than as their later forms. I don't have the energy to find an example, but sometimes they can learn moves let's say 2 levels faster, and if it has a 3rd form, it can maybe learn moves 4 levels faster. Then after you learn the move you want early, you start evolving.
