What is the worst entry of your favorite game series?

We all have certain game franchises that we absolutely adore. But some of the games in that franchise stumble a bit. What is the your least favorite game of your favorite game franchise?

Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass gets my vote. Don't get me wrong, the game is still great fun. But having to return to the same dungeon over and over again wasn't very fun.

Final Fantasy Tactics series. Well, kindof a series. But A2 Grimoire of the rift was a piece of shit wrapped in a brick of fail.

Splinter Cell: Double Agent. Don't get me wrong, the game was actually quite fun, but they changed too much too quickly, including getting rid of every refinement Chaos Theory (previous game in the series and acknowledged best of all of them) brought to the table, including the Sound Meter. Hell, they got rid of the Light meter, turning what had been a feature of the series since the beginning into a simple trinary light: Green for hidden in shadows, yellow for not detected, but not in shadows, and red for detected, as opposed to the actual meter from the previous games.

Also the simpsons game on PSP was also incredibly annoying in places.

...I guess that'd be the Tales games. I've only played three of them, so far, so I don't think I can judge. I've heard Tales of Legendia wasn't as good as the others, though.

Angel of Darkness - I don't even want to call it a Tomb Raider game in case it infects the others. Ok, the latest ones could probably give it a run for its money in some respects (for me the series ended with Last Revelation, Chronicles at a stretch), but it was the one that was the worst in, well, every respect, really...!

Yeah it's defintly one of the weaker entries in the series still better than the Phantasia remake for the GBA.


Not from my favorite series exactly but God Damn Wild Arms 4, yeah the battle system was ok but story and characters were just average. A big let down after the IMO excellent Wild Arms 3.

Call of Duty 3 and 5. Just because they are made by Treyarch because Activision doesn't have the balls the let IW make every game, but 2 years apart. Seriously, do you need a sequel every year. Nope, especially if the odd years are GOING to be mediocre. That's right I said it, Treyarch BLOWS!
