What is with the asian\indian men obsession with white women?

I said that in jest. I'm sure it's true for a few asian\indian bros out there, but I doubt it for most.

I haven't a clue. (traditional) Asian characteristics just seem to hold way more attraction to men. I myself am not completely unphased by it either.

I know it's seen as racism, but certain ethnicities are simply seen as generally more attractive (due to them being seen as exotic). Just as certain accents are seen as more attractive. I tend to find women from India more attractive, and have kind of a thing for Russian and Belgian accents. Is that racist? Maybe, but physical attraction is a very selfish thing and doesn't really care about equality.

..well they can be,I think the main thing though is for westerners there's this specific stereotype of asain woman being docile and "nice"

whereas in America there's an unfortunate stereotype against black women being agressive/obnoxious/ghetto/unconventionally attractive to the point where black guys going for white women because of perceived status/white woman being "nice" is a thing (uggghh I hated typing that)

While I'd love to disagree with you, most of the people that chat me and my female friends up online with 0 mutual friends are Indian. Like, the proportion is crazy, big enough to have to wonder what's up with them.

Of course not all Indian men are like that, that's the distinction we should make. But anecdotally I have to say that OP isn't misguided in thinking this.

If I had to suggest why there are so many Indian men stalking women (typically white) online, I guess it'd have to do with the very scary gender expectations there are in India. There's some pretty creepy misogynistic attitudes that even hardcore conservatives in the west would cringe at. I'm guessing there's a huge pressure on men to get married and have kids, and that unfortunately results in the severe mistreatment of women.

While online marriage proposals to strangers can be funny, let's not forget that India has a pretty terrifying problem with rape.

Spent a good bit of time in India and asked a similar question after seeing my female friends i was travelling with get some serious harassment. Had to be seen to be believed, flashing of genitals and crowds swarming them on the beach. I know sounds like hyperbole but wasn't i assure you.

Anyway, reason i got from an Indian woman who sold jewellery on the beach is that most native Indians experience with white women is through pornography, so they get the idea that white women are more adventurous and have sex like porn stars do.

Not sure how accurate a statement it was but she believed it.

Well seeing as it only ever seems to happen on the internet, I suppose physical violence isn't something that'd happen. But they do get extremely rude, let me know that I'm some sort of nefarious trickster and then leave. In the worst cases they look through my friends list for girls with pretty faces and proceed to chat them up.

That said, I don't wish to imply that this behaviour does not happen in the west (because it really, really does).

I don't know, OP, because I don't know them. All I know is me. And I know that when I see a lot of Asian women, I almost drop to my knees and wonder how it is that the absence of such an angel could not be missed in heaven. It's at about that time that the spaghetti usually falls out of my pockets, but I'm sure you get the point. I don't know why it is that I often feel such a tempestuous display of emotions around Asian women, but if I had to hazard a guess, I'd echo Shinji's sentiments by saying that what we are unused to seeing often excites us for that reason. For me, this does also apply to certain accents.

I'm actually the opposite, I was born a bit darker than my sisters. I prefer having lighter skin whilst my older sister tans hers. XD

A friend of mine saw an ad banner for "Filipino whitening cream" and asked me if I knew anything about it. I was really embarrassed but I had to say "Yes. Yes I do. Just... ignore it."

Let me first address your latter point, stereotype(ing) is basicly because the mean of percieved charataristics differ enough from the percieving group.

For your first point:
