Mead is actually wine
Technically it isn't - you try and sell a bottle of mead labeled "wine" in the EU, you're bound to get into some trouble... But who cares since it's one of the best drinks ever.
Anyway, back to the original question:

My favourite "always have some in the fridge" beers are Flensburger Pilsener and Dithmarscher Urtyp, two medium-tart types of German Pilsener. I also like "naturally cloudy" (unfiltered)types of beer; there's a brewery right here in Hannover (Brauhaus Ernst August) who make a pretty good "cloudy" beer.

As for special occasions: There's a really great beer called "Duckstein" from northern Germany with a distinct oak wood flavor. Also, we got "Aecht Schlenkerla Rauchbier" which is made from smoked malt. It tastes like a bottle full of bacon and you just can't drink more than one.

Stella Artois, I am NOT a beer drinker but Stella is alright. Better than most of the ones I have drank (which isn't much, mind you)
I love Stella, but it's amazing how many people just can't handle it.

My favorite is probably Brahma.

Well, my loyalties are to Yorkshire, so I tend to mostly drink ales from around the county, my favourites being Black Sheep and Theakston's Old Peculiar. Copper Dragon is pretty darn tasty too.

How the hell can some people not handle Stella? It isn't even that strong (Is it?) It's usually my choice of beer, but I am more of a Vodka and Coke guy (Vodka and Redbull is heavenly) I also like Cider (I like Cider over beer personally)
Stella is around 5%. Beers range from around 3%. If you taste it, then compare that to something like Fosters or Carlsberg, the weaker beers definitely taste more mild.

So yeah, a lot of people can't handle it. As for me, it was the beer I was raised on :D

It really does just speak for itself...

That beautiful black nectar with the purest of heads... that breathtaking cascade of bubbles, fighting as they both fall down and up, as the oxygen goes through it... and the awesome taste from the first sip to the last...

Alternatively:

It sounds so wrong, but tastes so right!

Guinness.

I'll drink Sam Adams with dinner, tho, as Guinness is its own meal.

I haven't really drank any of the more obscure beers, but Corona is my favourite beer. Sol is a reasonable substitute if it is unavailable.

I don't mine Guinness either, but it's better in a glass than from a can.

I love me some Ace Pear Cider. Not the HARDEST drink out there, but man is it tasty!

Blue Moon is the only one I've been able to finish. Beer is pretty nasty.

I brew my own so I am biased towards that but for commercial beers, I love Guinness and pretty much anything from Deschutes Brewery since I used to live down the road from their first brewery.

Hahn Super Dry would be my staple, but when I've got a bit extra to spend or it's a special occasion I like a James Squire Sundown Larger or Pale Ale.

That would apply to all beverages, alcoholic or not - not just Guinness.

Stella - because I look fucking ridiculous wearing my string vest without a bottle of it in-hand.
