Well, off to visit your mother! *trollface*

Also, the noise of picking up an item in Minecraft. I could listen to that popopopopopopop all day.

The Machina double kill sound, the Inception-esque cheering sound that everyone in the server hears.

Or the sound of a crowd screaming when you inflict damage with the Charge 'n' Targe (Splendid Screen doesn't count)

The sound of the AK-47 in Modern Warfare 2.
It sounds like someone is trying to pull a huge fucking chain through a funnell.

There's probably more, but I am really not in the mood to start thinking of those.

The menu sounds from Silent Hills 2 and 3. It's strangely soothing.

Also in the same category, the topmenu sounds from every Kingdom Hearts game. Those cute little chirping sounds are adorable and somewhat epic with Dearly Beloved in the background.

Definately the wobbly sound the Magic Ball makes in Little Big Adventure 2! Probably due to the fact that it was the first game I ever properly owned and played, and the fact that I played it for hours and hours as a kid, and you hear the sound so goddam much! But I love the sound! In fact I now must have it as a ringtone...!

This. While I realize that many of you here dislike CoD, you surely agree that there aren't many things that would be more badass than a guitar riff for a level up.

Quad damage (Quake) and pretty much all of the Trent Reznor DººM³ sounds.

With the novelty/laughs, the "Holy shit!/Denied" in Quake III, when someone gets killed one step from capturing the flag. It actually matches exactly how you feel at that moment.

You made me laugh. That was a classic. I used to say it to myself before going through doors.

The start up noise and spool noise of the minigun on Timesplitters 3.

Everytime on multiplayer we heard that thing spin up me and my friend pretty much when "ooo shiiiiit! Its about to go DOWN!"

Also I think the intro' to the Red Alert song, with the marching, is the best song intro' I've ever heard. The closest I've ever come to that kind of eargasm was the steps synchronised with Daft Punk's "The Armory", in Tron Legacy. There were a couple of other moments like that in that film, like when Zuse's glass rings after he toasts Sam.

Hm... maybe the music that plays when you start a campaign and are in a safe room... And of course, the one that plays when you reach the next one! Nothing else comes to mind at the moment.

It's a squeak, actually. More specifically, a squeak sound effect that (I think) is used all around, but I first heard it in Rayman 2: The Great Escape.

For a more recent usage of that sound, I refer you to:
