For me it's Borderlands 2. I haven't bought Dishonored yet, waiting for a Steam sale, so my opinion might be different if I bought it. But for right now, it's definitely Borderlands 2.

It's between Mists of Pandaria, Borderlands 2, and Mass Effect 3 for me.

Hard choice, I feel like all 3 did some things really well and some things very, very poorly.

The Walking Dead games, and this is coming from someone who didn't mind the original ME3 ending.

This is actually a really hard choice. Right now it's between Mass Effect 3 and Spec Ops; The Line. Both of them had well written plots, but I'd give that award to Spec Ops. However, Mass Effect 3 had better flowing gameplay and length on its side.

I have it narrowed to 5 titles;
Mass Effect 3 for everything other than the last 10 minutes
The Walking Dead for the great story
Transformers Fall of Cybertron for the great set pieces and the last mission was just epic
Borderlands 2 for an amazing story and hilarious writing
and Dishonored for great stealthing.

I think the GOTY contenders for the awards shows will be as follows (in no particular order)
Mass Effect 3 (Won't win, but it will be nominated a lot)
Spec Ops: The Line (probably the best work of videogame art this year, even surpassing journey, this will be impossible to ignore)
FTL (Might be one of the dark horses this year)
Borderlands 2 (might win)
Halo 4 (might win depending on how it shakes up the formula)
Journey (another dark horse because of its short length)
Dishonored (another dark horse because of length)

pure speculation
Hitman:absolution
assassins creed 3

I bought a couple games this year, but the only one that was actually released this year was Mass effect 3. So I guess that one wins by default. If I was to guess though, I'd say by December Assassin's creed III will be my GoTY.

Going to have to go with The Last Story as it was pure brilliance not as good as Xenoblade Chronicles but that was last year here so it doesnt count, Journey was also amazing but not as good imo. If Persona 4 Arena gets released here this year it may become GOTY for me but odds are we wont see it until February or some stupid date.

For big, AAA games it's a tough call between Dishonoured and Spec Ops for me. Mass Effect 3 is third, but by a distance.

For smaller stuff, it's Journey or Toyko Jungle. They're both pretty special in their own way.

Dishonored. I love that game. It's just so satisfying to strike them down one by one sneak past without ever doing harm to anyone. Ever.

EDIT: And Journey! How could I forget Journey? It's one of my top five favorite games ever, so I have to mention it here. Silly me.

My vote goes to either X-Com or Borderlands 2. X-com came out of know where and surprised me while Borderlands 2 took the first and built upon it giving us an actual sequel.

I would love to give it to Dishonored but I found myself rushing to beat it all the way from Boyle Mansion and have no interest in playing it again.

As of right now my top 5 is

5 Dust: An Elysian Tail
4 Minecraft 360
3 Lollipop Chainsaw
2 Borderlands 2
1 The Walking Dead

I haven't played
Record of Agarest War 2(I have to buy a PS3 for this so it damn well better be game of the year), Spec Ops the Line, Xcom Enemy Unknown or Dishonored yet

Final prediction after everything is released and played
5 Spec Ops
4 Borderlands 2
3 XCom
2 Agarest 2
1 Walking Dead
But that's just speculation.

Worst games so far
Resident Evil 6
Amy
Mass Effect 3
All 3 had me weeping tears of blood by 5 minutes and cutting my self by 6 minutes in.

Either The Walking Dead, or Mass Effect 3 so far. But with Assassin's Creed and Halo literally just around the corner, it can change.

Borderlands 2 because Dishonored was meh.

I'm sure the title of GoTY will be taken by Persona 4 Golden once that comes out, though.

Probably Borderlands 2 or Max Payne 3 for me. I love both of these games, but Borderlands probably wins as it had split-screen, a lost art in most most games nowadays. I was also very tempted to say The Walking Dead Game, which at the moment would win my GOTY but I'll wait until Episode 5 is out before I say anything.

In no particular order:

Spec Ops: The Line
Borderlands 2
Dishonored
The Walking Dead
Binary Domain
Sleeping Dogs

Those are some of my nominees.

My worst games:

AMY: Had a lot of potential but just ruined it.
Anna: Made me feel physically sick (And not in the nice 'Spec ops: The Line' way). Mostly because of its stupid artistic pretensions, 90s era graphics, insane puzzles and the fact you have to create an account with their developer to play it. I mean, really, are their egos that large?
Resident Evil 6: The game reminds me of a Michael Bay film: All colour and flash and big guns without any respite or substance. To paraphrase Yahtzee, that all becomes boring when not juxtaposed against the occasional quiet moment.
