Dawn of War. I dislike most RTS's for the reason that they're all slow and boring, but this one embodies my hatred. Whenever I'm at a lan party all my friends try to make me play it, and I always have to tell them to piss off while I get drunk and play portal by myself in the corner.
While I'll agree with you if you are talking about Dawn of War 2 (It was mediocre at best), may I ask; if you are talking about Dawn of War 1, is the reason you dislike it is because it is slow? Because its probably one of the fastest RTS's out there.

Myself, I'm going with Dragon Age; WoW style combat without the MMO (WoW's ONLY positive point) or Dead Space; with its not scary at all monsters and bland environments.

Now, let me lay my complaint out for you again. In 2011 800x600 is obsolete and a game that costs $10 running at a lower resolution than a Facebook game is ridiculous. The game apparently can't scale and so people with widescreen monitors will have the game running in a box.

I made no complaint about the graphics, they are 2D graphics that look fine but having to run the game in a box or a window is just stupid. Make sense now? If not maybe someone else can explain it better.
Firstly, the game was released nearly a month early and the purchasers were told it was going to be buggy and missing features, but of course, it gets released and they all have a rage.
Secondly, the games always been able to change resolutions, just because you were to lazy to look at the simple workaround posted about 1 hour after release doesn't mean it isn't possible, not only that it was fixed in the first patch. And the games had working fullscreen since day 1.
Pausing has been possible since day one as well if you bothered to ask almost anyone.

Team Fortress 2. I just don't get the appeal. Partly to do with the stylisation, partly to do with the class based combat, partly to do with the MMO-esque loot / equip mechanics now making the whole thing much more unfriendly to anyone who has been outside of the community for some time.
Funny you say that because I never went into that community and Im having a blast at it.

I have a lot of games on this matter,
1.Zelda....What are you guys gonna kill me cause you love a game just because you played it AS A KID?!You just go around stabbing stuff.Either the intro takes TO LONG or it just isn't my game, also Im in the big tree with the spiders.

2.Final Fantasy VII how can It be any better then FF XIII??It makes no sence,I love the story on FF VII but man I cant drag along with those guys enemy 3 seconds later enemy dead 2 seconds later enemy!

3.Mass Effect 1,strange I liked ME 2....Gave ME 1 too tries,it still sucked!

4.Obllivion,dont get me wrong I liked the game when I played it I just got stucked on a part and never returned...buying skyrim! :D

Actually, yeah I was talking about Dawn of War 2. Sorry for the confusion, but I wouldn't know the difference and that's the one they're always playing so I just assumed it was the better of the two.

Super Smash Bros Brawl and pretty much any other fighting games in general. I just can't seem to see the appeal. Though it is interesting to watch.

Dead Space. Now, I don't think it's a bad game by any means, I just find it severely overrated (I played it on my 360 btw). It's just an average survvival "horror" game with third person shooter gameplay. I will say the game's atmosphere was very well done, which I feel is the game's only impressive aspect. The biggest disappointment for me though was its so-called "scariness". The first time a Necromorph jumped out at me from a vent, yes, it made me jump a bit. The thousandth time it happened, I just rolled my eyes and proceeded to dismember it. A survival horror game that relies entirely on cheap jump-scare tactics is just a survival game. It is NOT the world's scariest game, not even close. An overrated game like this overshadows the scariest, and most underrated, game on the Xbox 360, Condemned: Criminal Origins. Comparing the two makes Dead Space look as scary as Viva Pinata.
With Dead Space it's not just the lacklustre horror that puts me off but the ridiculous camera angle when playing it on PC, my neck actually hurts from it :(.

As a Sony fan I've never played the original Condemned, but the second one was legitimately scary for the first 75%. In the Apartment level when you're seperated from the others searching random rooms, one bathroom has a cabinet with some items in it and once you close it you can see a speedballer in the mirror looking at you. I was so freaked out I legitimately tried to kill the mirror before the speedballer.

OT:

Probably Half-Life 2, it just feels like a humourless version of timesplitters with bland characters.

Half life 2. The gameplay I found to be unremarkable, I didn't like the character design, enemy design, or art direction, and I played it in like, 2008 or something, so it wasn't nearly as technologically impressive to me as it was when it came out. As for the plot and setting, the military run dystopian future thing has been done to death, and zombies are so cliche that they have their own genre of movie, so I didn't find combining the two all that original. Also giving a silent protagonist a backstory and a cast of friends which allude to a personality kind of negates the point of having a silent protagonist.

Baldur's Gate 1 and Fallout 3

Also why are a lot of people here getting warnings for no reason?

Psychonauts, They all say that it's fun every single reviewer or critic have given it excellent scores and everyone who bought the game kissed it's feet while chanting a song that worshipped it but still I don't like it because it failed to appeal to me and just fell flat and that was maybe because I had an older brother who loved and praised it along with his friends,
always saying that he thinks it would be the ideal game for me and he went on like this for maybe 2 months before I decided to try it out, I got maybe half-way into the game before I gave it up never looked back. I

I also believe that I will be suspended for this post

Red Dead Redemption would be the big one from the past few years. I was really looking forward to it and bought it on the first day, but I found it got pretty boring fast. I know the characters and story are lauded, but the story just seemed like an ugly mish-mash of Western cliches to me, and I felt the characters weren't up to Rockstar's usual standard. Still can't even force myself to finish the game, though that may be because I'm well aware of how it ends.

And while I like the Uncharted games, I'm a bit baffled why the second is so highly regarded. Lovely production values and graphics, but I've had much better gaming experiences.
