I was into Kickstarter before it was cool :) To prove it, I funded the port of Breath of Death VII & Cthulhu Saves the World to PC. Got the ported games in return.

From the current crop post Double Fine I have funded or pledged to:
- Double Fine Adventure
- TAKEDOWN
- Wasteland 2
- The Banner Saga
- Shadowrun Returns

And I'm considering pledging to Starlight Inception.

I already commented before how yes, it is a risky investment. You invest now and may get a bad game later. That's why I invest in developers I believe and like, and I look thoroughly at the proposals for a project before deciding to fund it.

Funding projects through Kickstarter is also the chance to take part in a new model of game development and helping to make games that would otherwise never be made. If even one of these games is a great game when it's done, I'll be able to say "see this game? I helped fund its production."

none, but when I get money I might fund Wasteland 2 and Ravaged ^-^
Wasteland 2 has 60 hours to go, get on it.
in that case I won't be funding it
I don't have a credit card so I need someone who can "sell" me Paypal credit =P
best of luck to the devs, though
might buy it when it comes out

So far I've backed FLT, Wasteland 2, and Banner Saga, and I'm considering Shadowrun Returns. Super excited about all of them. Seriously, Kickstarter is shaping up to be the best thing to happen to gaming in quite some time.

I threw $55 at Wasteland 2. (I'm overseas, so I went for the all-digital package. International shipping costs are nuts.) For the "HERP DERP SHOW ME TEH GAME FIRST" people, it's not like I'm giving my money completely blind here. These are the people responsible for some of the greatest RPGs ever, so they've got a reliable track record. Odds are whatever they produce is going to be worth it.
