What Makes You Ignore Threads?

Simple enough, what, when reading a thread, makes you atuomatically click off it, no matter the quality of arguments prior.

For me, any reference to God in a sense of his blessing, damning, or doing anything religious to people. I will even read something where Godwin's Law has been invoked, but I will stop reading once God is involved, because I have yet to see that turn out well. (This doesn't aply to theological discussion threads of course)

And of course, blatant fanboyism will evetually turn me away, but I can stand to read a lot of it before I decide it's just fanboys arguing and leave.

A devolution into troll exchanges is a big turn off.
So is a thoughtless opening post.
Another annoying thing is when people don't edit their quotes, and we get quote walls. Those just suck.
An obvious sign for me to leave is when someone decides to make a Halo hate thread.
On the rare occasions I do read those threads, it's just to make sure I'm justified in using the shiny red button.
Lastly(for now), repeat threads.
God, do I hate those. One is understandable, but when there are four threads on the same thing, it's just horribly annoying.

Well typically if it's a thread with a lot of replies I often don't really feel all that obligated to reply because there have already been about seven hundred people giving opinoions before me on this topic so what is there that I can say that someone else hasn't already said?

Also, usually I stay out of 'overrated' threads and general aggressive hate threads unless I feel the need to respond with logic and try to restore a bit of peace.

4 letters, A,H,L,O. Just replace the 2nd with the 1st and you have my reason.

Ok, time for a mini-rant (fuck off, I am bored)! Why the fuck do people need to create a BILLION topics about: "why do you think Halo sucks?","Why do you think Halo is underrated?","Is Halo a good game?","Halo","Halo,"HALOOOOO!"? Seriously people, it is a fucking game! A mediocre one as well. Why do you act like it is a masterpiece worthy of discussion? Why doesn't anyone start a thread about an actually good game? Like Shadow of the Colossus? That would be a good topic, "Why is SotC so underrated?". The answer to that topic would be, in many ways, HALO! (*I would explain that statement, but it would make the post ultra long, just go read Extra Punctuation or another article made by a real gamer) To me this game is a pile of shit and it can go to hell, not necessarily because it's bad, but because it's IN MY FUCKING FACE all the time. By the way, just to make myself clear, I don't have anything against people who like Halo, just the game. And sweary kids. And the XBLive! community.

IT appears this wasn't as "mini" as I intended...

Well, the halo troll made halo threads worse.

I tend to skip the "What's your favorite "non-original subject" threads".

I also evade threads by that "troll". (He's not the halo troll) (He's worst).

Like about ten or so other people so far, the word Halo--usually it's just trolls and fanboys screaming at each other. Also, as of a few days ago, anything pertaining to religion, as those threads inevitably turn into pointless 500-page odysseys in which Christians and atheists rant back and forth without anyone's mind ever being changed. Seriously, I don't know why they even bother.

Also, threads with over a hundred replies make my TL;DR impulse kick in.

Usually a large wall of text or controversial threads.

Oh, and threads I don't understand about.
These two usually stop me from posting, but back when I was a post-whore, I posted in huge threads. I remember thinking I could pretty much say what I wanted because nobody'd read it

List threads have become a huge turn-off for me. They didn't bother me at first, but when I thought about it, I found that the same exact threads seem to crop up over and over again.

I'm also not a fan of political threads anymore. While I enjoy debating politics and foreign policy, it seems that the same things get said every time. It's getting dull.
