Well i think that i would have to go with an Oneiroi (child of primordial goddess nyx in greek mythology, ability to suck peoples lifeforce out by showing them their future) fir a couple of reasons.
1.) I could sell info about the future to people.
2.) It would be awesome to have the sons of a primodial goddess lying around.
3.) Being dream dwellers when they take a physical form they could most likely create one themselves which makes them fully customizable.

Something like Navi but less annoying and invisible to everyone but me. That way I wouldn't feel left out of the fucking loop all the time, also it could interface with a computer like an AI program and hack the shit out of any program to get me free everything... I guess it would be like an AI that lived in my head but could work through my computer so, not technically a creature...
I would mix a Komodo dragon and a vampire bat, then make it large enough to ride and tame it. All will fear the giant bat-lizard!
I would have start with a wolf, the put a scorpion tail on it... Then it would have two 1 ft. horns on its head that curve back. It would have dragon wings and be able breath ice at people... Also it would have opposable thumbs on its front paws so it can hold a sword. Its legs would fold straight up against its body so it can fly more aerodynamically. Maybe it would have spikes down it's back as well, so people don't try to ride him... It would be like self-protection against hip dysplasia.
